There have been arguments; or debates rather, about deism and theism and atheism since well before the time of Jesus; Socrates and the rest of the philosophic crowd debated this issue as well so this discussion isn't new just contemporary. I disagree with the view that religion poisons everything and his method of critique.

Yes yes religion is bad, there are secular get togethers similar to churches. Where they sing and go over new science research, poetry, etc.. Look them up Look up "secular get together ______ your state<" and you will find it
