Hey guy what size lift does the 85 yota have and what size tires?? Ive got an 85 extra cab 4x4 Was wondering what size lift to go with? Also was wondering what brand sky jacker, rough county, fab tech???? You guys need to come to TX and really do some mudding. Use to be a good place called spring creek until they shut it down 2 years ago. Im still pissed about it.
They seem to hold up good. My dad has only really had a problem with one of them leaking slowly at the bead. Dont know why really. Other then that there now bad for moderate offroading. As for hardcore not so much. There was one time we were out mudding and he ripped a hole in his sidewall from a stump on the ground relativley easy.
My buddy is still rolling on those tires on his 2500 from this video. And there not doing bad at all. In my opion there pretty good tires. I like them.
I like the maxxis bghorns. They clean out pretty well. The only thing I wish I would have went with is a wider tire. Mine arent that wide which is OK if the mud isnt bottomless. They grip like hell and bite hard. And they are durable..Ive hit many stumps under water and mud on my sidewalls with no problems. All this video was taken on the east coast of Florida. West Palm to Vero.
Yea I agree its heavy lol. Im happy with my Bighorns, the Mickey T's are real expensive but if you got the money there ya go. No Im not apart of the forums. I didnt know there really was any. I ussually keep my mudholes secrative cause of the PoPos.
It depends on the year. I traded up my HD silverado for an extended cab Z-71 1500 silverado, and becuase it is an all new set up, you would need a strut compressor to put in the leveling kit.. I wont fuck with that, so I had the off-road shop install my leveler kit... Word of advice, as soon as you put one in, get the front end re-aligned immediatley!!!
Well these wernt taken in town here. Alot of this was done down south. In the Hobe Sound Area. Are you in the PSL area? I run a mud group called Outlaw Mudders..If your from around here, were always looking for more trustworthy members..
Well, thats my dads truck. Its not a pos though. But yea it is the only one with a lift. My buddy's Silverado never touches the mud, that was his first time. Thats why he has no lift. And the sandrail, well, its a sainrail lol. But I have a skyjacker lift that Im looking at. What kinda truck you have?
Yea I thought I would have a problem with it but it never really hurt anything. So I kept it on there. Thats a bad ass engine. Mines only got the small 305. Is yours an extra cab?
Yea I love the engine but like you said it does need a little more power. I dunno what to do to it though. I havent really researched parts for it yet. Yea I like the single cab but I really like the way the extra cabs look. Like my Silverado but I dont take that in the mud.
No, I mainly use it for mudding. I take my friends out to places like these and we have a blast. I have a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado which is my daily driver. I have video of it going through a pond on here.
I mean a 2001 and I have a 73 also but Im getting rid of the 01' soon. You live in Florida right I think I might have saw that toyota today but I dont know for sure.
Love that Toyota!

The blue GMC is my favorite just because I love that body style. Looks like it goes through some shit for being at stock height.

Im in florida as well... I was thinking of the maxxis bighorns but I wanted to know how well they clean out in the mud.
what do you think?
Also, what area is this?

SilveradoKing53 2 years ago
Yeah wider tires would allow your truck to float, chevy half tons are heavy mofos.
Right now for me its between the bighorns and the Mickey T MTZ.
You part of any local forums? florida 4x4 mudaholics etc...

SilveradoKing53 2 years ago
It looks like the northern part of Florida south of Tallahassee. When I went out mudding with my boys in Taylor looked very similar just more flat..
If anyone knows tell me. I may be way off though I don't know.
Happycripple 2 years ago
No its in the South Eastern part of Florida. But yea most of Florida looks the same lol.

mccyankeefan 3 years ago
Yea I love the engine but like you said it does need a little more power. I dunno what to do to it though. I havent really researched parts for it yet. Yea I like the single cab but I really like the way the extra cabs look. Like my Silverado but I dont take that in the mud.
