What I like about Joel is the genuine authenticity. When he says his ministry is about people and not about the polished exterior it's hard to believe at first. But, if you see many of his blog videos and read his interviews you see that he is the same person in private as he is in public. True Christianity is a heavy burden to carry, keep up the brilliant work my friend!

Tattoos arent an issue in modern life, the only place in the Bible that says not to get tattoos is in Leviticus where it says not to do it in rememberance of the dead. We're not saying GOD needs updating, but there are laws from the Old Testament that arent required for salvation. In Christ we are free to make our own decisions, although most people should be aware of the consequences, but thats a different story

@Fender1976uk Be careful of holding on to the law so tight. The law is a stumbling block for many. Yes, we should keep God's law but not at the expense of missing the message of the Gospel. And that's not compromising... its keeping the priority of Christ of above all. I don't think anyone can say with certainty whether its ok to tattoo our bodies or to drink among other things... the Bible is not clear on these issues and maybe for a reason...

As for being trendy... just because something is trendy doesn't automatically make it a sin. Why can't God use "trendy" culture to reach people just as he does by all His other means?

We believe in Solum Verbum Dei, which means, the Word of God alone. Its just wrong to say, The Word of God is found in the Bible alone. We dont deny that the Word of God is found in the Bible but it is wrong to say that it is found only in the Bible. Not everything that happened is all recorded in the Bible. When men were inspired by God they wrote down words which are venerated as scriptures.

Early Church fathers like Iraneus and Ignatius taught by the original apostles that were taught the great teachings of our Lord stand only in the Catholic Church -not man made churches-and considered archaic by many and old in thinking proves we are the original and the true Church.Can't argue history and fact. You are devoted to the wrong thing! God does NOT care what CHURCH you belong to but rather what is in your heart and how much you give your life up for him and the people around you! That is what Hillsong is about: reaching those who need love and just love on them! That is why they sing the songs they sing! Catholicism is more about ritual and who says what etc. That doesn't matter to God! And the Catholic church is a MAN made church! Every church is man made!
