so i think it can work but you have to completely give your mind away and let him manipulate it.... if you're strong minded at all it won't be the easiest feat for the hypnotist... i think the only reason it worked on me at home was because i knew that i was safe and because of the fact that i was comfortable while it was going on

hah i went to a show with this guy as the host and i volunteered. it didn't work on my friend or i so we just played along to make him not look dumb. in fact only about 1/2 the people stayed on stage cuz it didn't work on them so they just left. and who knows how many of the remaining half were just playing around like us? ironically he gave me a cd for hypnotism at the end of the night and i listed to it and blacked out... woke up the next morning in my bed with a long sleeve shirt on + boxers

just fine. when he is done hypnotising them he says to them not to feel bad about what he has done to them and to feel very confident and some stuff like that. so afterwards he just felt very good. thats what he told me

i dont really care you volunteere for this, and kind of know what is going to happen. and he never felt embaressed or nothing. so i guess he didnt care. and this was just done at school i dont think they video taped it.

That's why I don't understand about people who volunteer for these shows. Why would you be willing to do things under hypnosis that you would probably never be willing to do otherwise. I always felt there was something more going on that the spectators are not aware of and I do think the post hypnotic suggestions have a lot to do with it. Did your friend actually recall what he did under hypnosis?
