Love it when bands play great songs that the hooches in the crowd do not know how to sing. Everyone can actually enjoy it without listening to some drunk skank pretending to be the next American idol.
@awsinger1 Bob Dylan wrote part of it for the soundtrack to Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid. It was on many bootlegs of Dylans. OCMS wrote more to it and recorded on their album.
@justSomeGirl2858...Know what you're talking about before you criticize people. OCMS took a verse from a song Dylan wrote for a film called pat garrett and billy the kid, and wrote a song around it. Look it up
@justSomeGirl2858 okay, it's not a bob dylan song at all. the chorus is the only thing remotely related to bob dylan, and that's because it was derived from some lyrics he threw together but never did anything with, and i don't think there is much of a greater force on earth than these two bands combined
It's not about versions and covers man, its about great bands acknowledging the greatness of great songs written by other great bands, and playing it because they know its great and fun to play. I love that there's such a tight-knit folk scene emerging right now, its almost like the sixties with the psychedelic rock scene, everybody was playing with everybody else and the whole scene was like a community.
Yes, and that is a wonderful thing with acoustic instruments. However an unplugged electric guitar seems a little counterproductive. Its beautiful how dedicated he is though.
Technically this is an OCMS cover - Bob Dylan wrote the chorus but as far as I'm aware Ketch Secor (of OCMS) wrote the verses and music, and that's how Mumford&Sons came upon it ;)
Bes thing in existence.

@jwardimagerydotcom Bob Dylan never finished this song. One of the OCMS members finished it with Bob's blessing.

OCMS gets credit for Wagon Wheel. Dylan wrote the chorus a long time back, but it's considered an OCMS song.
