  • 1 minute into it and they've already changed around the whole intro to the book, wtf? There was a different audio book for this that actually followed the book to a T. I like the accents and delivery of the voices with all the sound effects and atmosphere, but the dialogue and text being read is far too removed from the original printed novel.

  • Is this actual reading from the book or are things changed around? ive only ever seen the movie

  • Still got his balls???

  • I've seen the movie dozens of times, but I just finished reading the book tonight. Let's see how the audio goes. In my opinion Pet Sematary is one of Stephen King's best!

  • Almost finished reading the book! The book is so scary!

  • I remember listening to this when me and my family were driving to Florida once haha

  • I love this radio drama audio book version though I wish it didn't tame the story down so much at the end. But at least the Wendigo does speak here unlike in the movie. Though I understand that getting a 2-year old to say anything clearly would be a job, not to mention say all those thing. ;D I'm not sure which I'd appreciare more for a movie: Gage being a toodler as he should, or using an older child who could say the lines. Anyway, I fear the remake. I'm sure they'll fuck it up.

  • @VampireOutlaw are they going to be doing a remake??

  • @CaptainJellico1701d Yes. It ought to be released in 2012. It's on IMDB at which point I consider a movie production confirmed. Not sure though if it's going to be a remake or a midquel as in starting off where the first film left us. I hope it's the last mentioned.

  • that shit is scary

  • The moment the kid died, I knew what was going to happen. *SPOILER* He resurects the kid in the pet cemetary, and he turns out evil.

  • This audio book is amusing.

  • i seen the movie but is the book good because i got the hardcover book coming

  • @squidwardandspongbob It's great. You begin to like all these characters and then all this horrible shit starts to happen to them. It's just a great read. Truly disturbing.

  • i know this is gonna scare me shitless, but the beginning is awesome!

  • DON'T KILL HIM. PLEASE DON'T KILL HIM. NOOOOOOOOOOOO. PLEASE DAVID. DON'T HURT HIS LITTLE TOES. OR HIS LITTLE PENCIL. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD. DON'T DO IT PLEASE. LET HIM GO BACK TO THE ABBOTS PLACE. PLEEAAASSSSE.

  • hey dudes, you know whats cool? dowloading this and several other parts then burning it onto a disc so you can lay down in your bed and listen to it on your CD player instead of having to sit infront of the computer.

  • wow that is AWFUL!!!

  • Thank you so much for upload this audio. Really!

  • This sucks I burst out laughing as soon as the second guy started talking

  • Thanks for uploading this but... Well.... Is there a chance to get a normal audiobook somewhere? Because, to be honest, I justcan't force myself to listento this cr...p any longer than 2 minutes.

Is the original King text ever been recorded?

  • I UPLOADED Pet Sematary the 1st one and is real!!!! at /watch?v=8vFweW-m_Ac or go to to my channel to see it

  • The movie is sooo fucking good

  • kool pictor ? where did u get that audio

  • thank you for uploading it.

  • this isn't the book i have read Pet Sematary

  • oh god i just remembered when Gage cuts Juds Achilles Tendon in the movie!

  • This makes me never want to have kids. Seriously.

  • Yeah it was a pretty cool book over all, but I was just really satisfied with the epilogue. Yeah, it was kind of sad but a good ending nonetheless.

  • Ellie sounds a bit too old for a five-year old.

  • The book I have is different from this audio book.

  • @Ultrareallism Yup, this leaves quite a lot out. Plus, if I remember correctly, the book is actually told in third person, not told by Louis/Jud point of view.

  • This is pretty good :D

  • Why does he spell the word 'cemetery' wrong?

  • @limbdarkening 'Pet Semetary' is a cemetary that was created for former owners pets. It was misspelled by the people who made the cemetary.

  • @limbdarkening It was spelled wrong because is was spelled by children

  • what is this type of audio book called?? PLZ ANSWER ME!

  • @imtonasty Its a horror story. Its a radio dramatization. What else do you want to know?

  • @RentTheSpokeMan thanks! know of any other radio dramatization horror books of stephen king worth listening too?

  • @imtonasty If ya found any tell me about em!

  • @RentTheSpokeMan Thank you SOOOOOOOOOO Much for posting this! Do you also have JAWS?! That would be cool. The Narrator sounds like Lord Alfred Hayes! Again, THANKS!!!

  • Thank you for the audio book.

  • i love this i rly wanna get the book its really chilling at night!! O.O

  • If only there was an unabridged version of this!

  • pet cemetry lol

  • My cat fucking died while I was reading this. We buried her in the woods behind the house >_>

  • @Pingypong101 oh my god that is heartbreaking and kind if creepy. Im really sorry.

  • @Pingypong101 sorry about your kitty : /

  • im 3 minutes and 57 seconds in and the whining kids are already pissing me off. does the whole story tell theme remind anyone of max payne the ps2 game?????

  • @evikt14 wow. i was just thinking that the very moment i came aross ur comment o.O

  • This book screwed me up for the rest of my life.

    Stephen King rocks for that.

  • @666brandon666

yeah i noticed stephen king books are known to screw ppl up lol

  • Holly SHIT, his family is so FUCKING annoying, specially the girl, damn it, if that was the idea this is very well acted damn xD

  • I always re-read this book whenever someone close to me dies.

  • @Ashloomis Really? Ive not read the book. What do you get from reading it in those circumstances?

  • It gives me some catharsis because to me the book is more about dealing with the loss of a loved one than it is about horror and violence. Now there is alot of scary horror in the book, but that's actually a very small part of the overall narrative.

  • I cant agree with you more. Actually more of king's books are about psychology - the relationship between people. The horror takes a very little part of it.

  • @ Ashloomis

pls don't tell me this is why you looked up this book on youtube when you wrote this comment

  • @RentTheSpokeMan some people have ways of coping that seem down-right bizarre to the rest of us. i have a pretty good idea what he's talking about.

  • @RentTheSpokeMan it may seem really strange, but the thing is, that the book is delivered in a different vehicle then the movie, wehre the undertone really is dealing with loss and the emotional fallout of death and stuff. Honestly when im upset or not, i actually do feel better after reading the book--even without the scary parts.

  • @RentTheSpokeMan more story than in the movie

  • @RentTheSpokeMan Basically a sense that Stephen King predicted that person was going to die and that he knows what you would do under that curious situation described in the book. It's scary, really, but it does give kind of a sense of comfort.

  • @Ashloomis i just finished reading the book i think i understand why

  • @Ashloomis

.....Honestly. You're a complete creeper. I mean I haven't read the book just yet, but..yeah. Creeper Alert here. :/

  • @alcoholflavored If you haven't even read the book, how can you judge me? The book is about dealing with loss, the horror elements are actually pretty irrelevant to the overall theme and subject of the book. I thank artists like Stephen King for being able to express emotions I feel sometimes and to help me cope with them.

  • @Ashloomis - Same here, actually. I thouht I was like the only person who had that particular inclination.

  • Probably the scariest book King ever wrote. Not just because of the supernatural element, but it is just so damn heartbreaking. The ending alone I think beats the shocking conclusion to the theatrical version of THE MIST.

  • Its my favourite anyway.

  • @parkercadie1 O.O it was my 2nd book and I never found the book scary

  • Randall !!!!!

  • never head of the book but ill lisen might be good

  • wow.... does sound like the guy off of clerks hahahahahahaha more creepy like though LMAO

  • lol he does sound like randall from clerks!!

lololol cant listen to this anymore

  • Good voice acting, but Louis sounds a lot like Randall from Clerks at times =P

  • Best Comment That I Have Read In A Long Time

  • @Cyborcat LOL!!!!! Because I love Clerks so much, that isn't a problem to me.

  • Fuck abridged versions and anyone who thought them up.

  • This was dramatised for radio. Can you imagine how many weeks the full book would go on for if they did a short segment each week on the radio?

  • i agree i hate them too every time i find one in my collection i rip it up and throw it away and its lucky i don't burn it it takes the charm between the author and the reader and its just a waste of time

  • Often people dont have the time/need for a full audio book.. I love unabridged audiobooks. But often the nieche for audiobooks is for short drives/flights etc. A 20 hour audio book is very often not desired. Though i love em

  • are there other books by stephen king, or any other kind of famous books that are multie voiced? if so could someone please tell me!

  • He sounds rather like Neil Patrick Harris.

  • almost sounds like the actors from the movie of the same name!

  • the breast xD

  • Best comment I've read in a long, long time.

  • thanks for uploading ;-D

  • movie was better lol

  • nop... i can't agree :P

  • Ooooh, they should make more audio books like this. This is the ULTIMATE audio book style. Only, I'm not sure if this one's going even nearly word to word to the book. Of course it's been years and years since I last read this but I recall much in this beginning thaT i didn't hear in this audio. And was the narrator really Louis? How could that be seeing to the ending of the book?

  • This is an abridged version so its not the full book word for word. It was a dramatisation for BBC Radio, if they had done the whole book it would have gone on for too long i imagine.

  • love you mate..

  • great !!!

  • Just for you trivia fans out there, the woman who plays Jud's wife, Helen Horton, was also the voice of "Mother", the Nostromo's computer in Ridley Scott's Alien.

"The ship will detonate in T-minus 5 minutes..."

Good to know she's still out there! :)

  • Cool thanks for that

  • If you have "It" on audio book, could you post it please?

  • Sorry i dont.

  • Ive just posted some of IT,check out my channel

  • i saw it a bit fast but grat ;-D

  • i love this story. I like it even more that even King thought he'd gone too far. thanx for the post.

  • Is this abridged?

  • Yeah

  • That's what I thought, thank you.

  • Spasibo. :)

  • i love you....you saved my life...i can now pass my class<333

  • The Ramones wrote an awesome song about this book by the same name. I believe it was for the movie version. Anyway cool vid.
