hi.. using pre programmed loop.. is different from programmed loop. ilayaraja sir's music its mostly programmed.. in the sense. the notations are given to programmers to literally program that music.. using the appropriate sounds. it cud be modern,, but it doent mean he didnt compose it... using modern electronic sound is different from using Stylus loops :)

May be thats why he stuck mostly to SPB, S.Janaki. KJY and chitra who had impeccable voices and quick grasping power.

@illumjoe synthesizer is different from using rhythm and melody samples directly. He still uses lot of synth, but its his notes.
