i agree with the guy who said this was produced by ron estill and i think it has been mislabeled somewhere along the line like the lsk -hate or love remix which was unquestionably produced by ron estill and not dilla
If "ron estill" produced this track then he's doing his best Dilla impression. This is as dilla as it gets. From the bassline, to the drums, to the melody..
@crooklynd95 The kicks in particular don't sound like Dilla. He also has his own way of finely shuffling everything and this doesn't sound like it. Can't be sure though.
you guys are trippin this is authentic dilla. anything with this much swing is a dilla beat. and he would use these chords. drums are definitely dilla too
@SinjanBoskoRec This is 110% a real remix, cos I've got this on a Dilla anthology album. Even if I didn't have it, anyone can tell that this all Dilla!
This isn't that tight. People are just saying it is because its supposedly Dilla. The vocals sound terrible with that instrumental. Even though the beat is pretty cool...
@lilfunker86 so where's your label backing? oh wait thats right you're commenting on a DEAD mans beat on youtube like he cares. Dilla owns period, and you just need to suck it up, grow the fuck up, or go back to mainstream music.
@PJ020 I've always thought that,I think it makes the whole song more impressive, doesn't quite fit and doesn't clash...I think thats a hard thing to achieve
@PJ020 they are called irregular chords. Music by Dilla and The Ummah and Native Tongue, in fact all Neo Soul or 'alternative hip hop' are distinguished by this particular style. Dilla in particular is known for this (eg 'Look of Love) Research the music before commenting negatively....
CAN'T YOU TELL, i'm stuck on a highway, going straiiiight to hell! like any other drifter! with a soul out to selll... you know i'm dealin' with the DEVIL, in everyone i meet, and their faces tell a story, that life ain't so sweet!
This is better than the original, in my opinion, I always thought Jamiroquai was better when they were in a chilled mood, though I still like their upbeat songs.
i heard an other one remix of this track by jdee, do you know where can i found it ? (it's on the jamiroquai's album "rare live and remixed" but it's stockout evrywhere) help please !
are you kidding me??? i've never gotten a virus from limewire, the only way you can get a badfile from limewire is if you download videos or programs. so just stick with music.
torrents fail. no one wants to deal with leeches/seeds and such. its complicated for no reason. And the sites themselves look pretty janky and suspicious.
You don't get viruses you get spyware. Often people don't even know because it's exactly that. You get it bundled with music often and you don't notice. The magic with torrents is you can download whole albums or just 1 song and while leeching/seeding can be annoying at times, if you find 1 good torrent you get tons of music with it.
that's what im wonderin to! if it was a legit track together, shit was slept on like mad!!! 2 artists that just sweat jazz and soul like crazy. one of my favorite acid jazz groups with my favorite hip hop producer, too good!
@djslipdisk This and the other Dilla remix of this song are both official, they were released in Dilla Anthology vinyls and in a Jamiroquai rare remixes CD.
whoever says that this track is not proper obviously has no taste in music. this joint is beyond proper, dilla once again does hsi thing. rip to one of the best prodcuers of all time.
@steeltownbrown52 jam didnt collab with dilla u dumb twat, he just took his tune and remixed it. anyway jam has defined a genre by his own so it would sound shit if more like this came out. jam is acid jazz, leave it like that, this is absolutely shite!
@youcunt11 Jamiroquai is a group not a person. And there is another remix that Dilla did with em', and it sounds like Jay actually lent some of his vocals for that one. Schtupid.
@steeltownbrown52 the game's changed now they seem to label all this mainstream 'rap' stuff as 'hip hop' and Jamiroquai are actual musicians so it's unlikely they'd work with the contempirary guys, oldeschoolers like De La, Native Tongues, Soulquarians definitely, but how often do they release nowadays?
i dont care who made it. this remix is sick. even if it isn't by dilla it sure as hell sound like its inspired by him. the bassline seems to have dilla's signature on it.
yeah... its right there at the begining.. maybe its just like that... overlookable.. and definitely still dope.. i hate mashups cause cats that do it usually are not musicians so they only focus on matching the beat without any concern for key... but just in case you did secretly mash this up..
