u think that one was big u have not seen nothing yet the lake i fish in there r carp that r as big as u they can have there head at the bottom and there tails will be sticking up out of the water i have hooked them tuns of times they have broke at least 10 of my poles they are huge at least40 pounds or biger and bout 5 or 6 feet long they hardly bite on any thing so the only way to catch them is to snag i would love to catch one if any one nos any good bait pelz leve me a comment thanks

Great video and nice grasser. One thing though? It's probably illegal to transport fish from one water to another where you live.. So be careful!!! ( not to forget a threat to the enviroment).

i live in south florida grass carp are introduced into the lakes and canals by the hundreds. they are used as weed control...because they are introduced (and the drainage department pays for them)they are not considered a sport fish. it isn't illegal to catch them but it is illegal to "target" them to catch... i noticed that you said in the end about breeding them. the fish that are introduced here are sterile,and cannot reproduce so they don't become invasive like all the other fish here

yeh i was reading a book about them, and realized that they are sterilized i was going to put an annotation on about it but it would be confusing. i knew someone would say somthing. (not blaming you) but people read comments and this is a good way to spread that fact around :-) i see the same carp everytime i go to the pond. it looks like its getting bigger, and darker. Maybe it was a change in diet that affected its color.

it depends if you are fishing for common carp you should use sweet corn on a hair rig and for grass carp use bread on a magic bait catfish rig. for the rig check out my magic bait review video

I got a lake behind my house with hundreds of these guys. all i do is throw out gralic bagels until they all start swimming around eating, then i put a hook through one garlic bagel chunk and i got a carp on my line. I've landed 4 in a span of about 2 hours one day.

you don`t want too many grass carp in there because they will eat the food all the other fish will need to live. At least that`s what everyone has been saying.But seriously i wouldn`tput more than one or two in there they eat half there weight everyday.
