i remember watching this live. Couldn't believe someone actually flipped at the rock. Miss rockingham, north wilkesboro for that matter. nascar really needs to go back to its roots. Rockingham was a tough track. Love to see if five-time could handle it.

Rockingham always had boring races after the 70's... It's the truth... North Wilkesboro is a good track to bring back, and Texas World.. Rockigham has much closer ARCA race, and would be a good IRL track... it dosen't work in NASCAR

I think that they should get more seating (i think that's how it got closed down. Money also) and get this track back on the Cup circuit and replace a race at this track with the California chase race.

its amazing that they would take this track away after this race. It had this wreck, Robby Gordon almost did the same thing, and the finish between Matt Kenseth and Kasey Kahne. I live about 1 hour away from the Rock, and after Brian "the Fuhrer" France took the races away I said "fuck you" NAZICAR, and I'm throufgh with them. I use to go to the races there, but NAZICAR gave them such shitty ass race dates that it was always cold, Oh well I guess Fagifornia speedway is a better market.

They all go where the money goes. Rockingham is a real unique racetrack, why the hell go to California (a boring wide track) and otehr places like that and exclude Rockingham and Darlington? Darlington has been threatened for years, it already lost the Southern 500 to Fagifornia as you call it. Carl Long is a bit of an independent racer, he races a lot in his own stuff and with an up and coming team. They are often called field-fillers. Carl Long will most likely be best remembered for this crash.
