London Calling is so fantastic, its been a long time since I first heard this album, but every time I hear "Rudie Can't Fail", "Spanish Civil War", "Koka Kola", "Wrong 'Em Boyo", "Hateful", "Lost In the Supermarket", "London Calling", "Clampdown", "Revolution Rock", "Death or Glory", "Jimmy Jazz", "Guns of Brixton", "I Fought The Law", "Brand New Cadillac", "Four Horsemen", "Lovers Rock", "Jimmy Jazz", "The Right Profile" and "The Card Cheat". R.I.P. Joe Strummer.
Quite simply the best album ever, and I remember it being excellent value for money too. 2 records for the price of 1. They were determined not to rip off the public, at their own expense. True Legends and in my opinion 'living gods'
The clash is the best band ever. It was bout 15 years b4 I was even born but it's th best. Anyone who denies this statement can die ands burn in hell!!!!!!!!!!!! The cash 4ever RIP joe strummer
@WarGoatForestWolf666 I honestly have NO Idea how you can skip over ANY clash song, I've been completely infatuated with them ever since my dad showed me some of his old vinyls of theirs when i was like 7, that was over a decade ago
Everytime I hear this it makes me want to sell all of my belongings. Grab a backpack and head to the caribbean to wander around aimlessly from island to island until I end up in the south pacific.
@doctorman1000 Yeah but that's a good thing as far as I'm concerned. It didn't work so well for some bands, but the Clash pulled off experimenting as well as anyone.
This is one of those very few albums that you play from start to finish without interruption.....Excellent from from song #1 to the very last tune.... A true Rock and Roll masterpiece!!!!
@generationx1966 i totally agree... london calling really is a rock and roll masterpiece... i love the clash and this is one of their best albums... not one song i don't like...
@CTE0895 I was listening to Joe during a Capital Radio 1 interview and was asked a Question regarding the style/content of their music and he said,in typical Joe Strummer fashion,..."It's all rock and roll ,ya cunt." .... and then went on talking and moved ontodiscussing Chuck Berry. Was a great interview,
@generationx1966 I agree with you that it is an amazing album but there are more than a few albums that you should play from start to finish without interruption. Whenever i listen to an album i listen to it from start to finish as to experience the album as a whole. Respect to your taste though
why did you have to fucking die joe

I can see why some people debate wheter the clash was truly a punk band later on. They really became more experimental in this album.
