Testing is Testing. Room Temp Scores mean allot for: GAMERS. When sitting in their 84 degree apartments...lol Nice Test BTW. I owned Hardware-Elite and did this for 4 years. I out grew it, no one wants to distribute their hardware anymore for testing, say unless you’re on their list. Did you buy and do this hardware review out of your own pocket? I have a 955 currently with a stock cooler at 3.2 ghz (haven't touched it in bios or anything, that's how it was shipped to me) with an ASUS M4N75TD. Would I be able to touch 4 ghz with this board by any chance? I'm using a KINGWIN Lazer LZ-1000 PSU if that matters. I know I would have to change to a water cooler, but does anybody know if I would be able to hit 4 GHz? I would like to do that just to say that I personally hit 4 GHz on my computer lol. Plus it would look cool watercooled...

these 965BE CPU:s are really good 4 tweakers. i dont use LN nor water,. just stock cooler and mine goes 4,6ghz stable. max temps ~55C. idle about 30+ cuz of 1,44v

Theres no way you are running A Phenom II at 4.6ghz on a stock cooler, usually people struggle to hit 4.2ghz on a very expensive aftermarket cooler.

@Sarkylaake1991 you are incorrect dude, All the cores are activated, Using a phenom II 965 BE. I will admit i cant go safely over 4.4ghz, but 4.3ghz is stable for me. I keep the windows and doors open, and my room is a cool 14 degrees Celsius. STOCK STUFF.

@DCDV99 My Phenom II at 1.5V + Noctua NH-D14 (the best air cooler) with an 20-21C ambient temp hits 54C in IBT. Several reviews say NH-D14 is 20C (+-1) better than the stock heatsink. The general rule seems to be that one celsius increase in ambient temp ups the cpu temp by about 1.5C. So our ambient temp difference is 7C that means you should be running about 10C hotter than my chip which is already above the safe cpu temp. Your CPU is throttling or you havent stressed it or I got trolled again

@speedy20091 I've had one for a couple of months. Its darn good for its price. I even got one for my bro. I can play Crysis on High with it and pretty much all my other games too :D despite only using a 4850 GPU :) Trust me, you should be able to enjoy it well.

Yes, but they created it to 3 cores, so it is not optimalized for 4 cores. You can unlock them, but it will or not will some problem, with the system. :)

@darkstar4848 Well as i said for now i dont feel the need to do so,since everythin runs perfect.and i still have the stock cooler on it btw,( wich is shit , i know ) and it alrdy hits 42c idle...when gaming 52 - 54c,AMD recommended me to lower the voltage to 1.25 - 1.3 volt,and that brought down the heat to atleast 4 - 6c lower.
