@uncleePaulie Reminds me of Prehensile Dream by The Bad Plus. Many similarities, although the actual melodies are different. Maestro plays very Iverson-like lines.  And Guiliana has a bit of Dave King in him (with the added pyrotechnics of Buddy Rich, to boot).

Israeli culture is an equal blend of Middle Eastern tradition with European innovation and technology. If a piece of music like this was going to be written by anyone, it would be overwhelmingly likely the composer would be Israeli, as Avishai is. Anyway, no politics to argue over here, just saying that the cultural influences you hear in the music are really very Israeli.
