Nahhh, actually there are moments when Barbara contributes her actual views and not just verbiage that's meant to water down a potentially heated discussion. In those moments, my respect for her increases. In moments like this, however, it shows she's human like everyone else and it's refreshing to see her let her guard down.

I know many regard her as stiff, but that's the generation she comes from. I think she's come a long way and would miss her if she ever stepped down. Just my opinion.

I agree. I think we would miss Barbara. My one criticism of her is that I feel like she doesn't always gives her opinion. It's more a 3rd person, moderator kind of speak. She does provide balance and cool heated moments down, but I prefer hearing the antics of Joy, Elisabeth, Whoopi and Sherri. I must say however, the show lifts when she is on. She has a certain presence, and it's magnificent seeing all 5 of them together.

I guess its because she's a journalist and thus unlike them, has to keep any interesting opinions to herself. Which is why SHE should be the one doing the moderating (Rosie was a great panelist, but because of the type of person she is, horribly suited to be moderator. lol)

I guess the issue with my hope is that Barbara is a busy gal who cant be there everyday and the Moderator needs to be.
