quite good lad! nice little kick step at the right times too. this was the dance that was used around the time the cameras came into the Casino. Previous to that the step was slightly different with the foot going behind more often on the 2nd beat a dance used by most soulies from the Wheel and later at the Torch. I was lucky enough to see 'Booper' dancing in the early 70's through the doors of a baptist church in Widnes. The music, the girls, scooters parked outside I was hooked at aged 10!!

the whole point originally was freestyle you made it up as you went along.this was a reaction circa mid sixties to the shuffling around which you see on top of the pops.now this so called northern soul dancing seems very regimented.

this is my style too when you havent done it for a few years the twistin feet really get to the muscles on the front of the shins, on my old legs. the mind is willing but the body is failing. poor unfortunate me, all say aww to the old worn out soul boy : )
