When I say sex and physical abuse in a CHURCH, I do NOT take away from the MANY good leaders in a Church. It is sad that they do NOT see the main problem with the CHURCH is giving too much power and authority to men.

Jesus is discussing marriage or those who will NOT marry - . And he provides the REASON for not marrying.

This means that JESUS said marriage is preferred for LIFE - or as in NO more divorce - which in turn meant MEN could no longer marry more than ONE woman.
A eunuch is someone who is NOT able to have sex with a woman. A eunuch is NOT necessarily celibate. By biblical terms as EUNUCH is a homosexual person.
Jesus purposely lists 3 (three) different statees of being a Eunuch. If a eunuch was only meant to devote life to GOD, Jesus would NOT have mentioned the first two states.
Jesus says some were BORN this way. Which means some men were physcially born a homosexual or a man who would not prefer women.
Jesus says "eunuchs who have been made eunuchs by others". . In those days some men were castrated so as to serve in harems or kingdoms. But NOT all were castrated. Some choose to live as a eunuch for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. Still this does NOT denote virginity or celibacy. Otherwise JESUS would have used the word virgin or celibacy.
Now if JESUS in any way or form was referring to being a lifelong virgin or celibate, that is NOT at all implied or even mentioned.
Whereas, Paul, in his discussion of marriage, does state that he would prefer people to be unmarried and celibate.
Jesus says NO such thing.
In fact, these 3 different states of being a eunuch (or as in todays terms homosexual) - JESUS is not saying that one stays in these states, but the ones who can accept these states SHOULD accept it.

I am in my 50's and been to many churches, studied many religions, and lived a full life. I also love Jesus with all my heart, mind, body and soul. I am still learning, but YOU KNOW ME NOT> Jesus forces NO one. He guides and loves people. The enforcer on earth for most part is man.
The judgement comes at our day of death. To teach and guide is what Jesus did and he allowed people to listen and learn and prayed they would go HIS way. He told them the consequence of their actions.
When men discover that they can TEACH their children quite WELL without hitting they will be so SORRY in heaven.
Why not LEARN now that one does NOT spank children for them to behave. One stays with them teaching them or taking away privileges or getting them to CLEAN up their spilled milk.
You know very well Jesus talked on such things that we can translate to today. .
He ate with tax collectors and prostitutes. He converted them GENTLY, with LOVE and with compassion.

We have lost men to the war from our community. My father was in the AIR FORCE. I am CANADIAN if you bothered to check. While I do NOT admire WAR, I honour the men who lay their lives down for what they feel are good causes. The IRAQ war, however, is a blight on the US. @Checkmate10000 I have asked repeatedly what both MEN and WOMEN wore in the bible: where does it say PANTS are forbidden to women IN the bible. It does not. The clothing of that time was TOTALLY different for everyday than ours. THEY lived in the desert most times.
As for -50 degree weather? HUH - most of 50 parallel and up has -30--70 in winter!!!!! I lived in Northern Manitoba for a year-70. And YOU cannot imagine how cold that is.
My mom lives where it is -28-35 at times.

You want to use Matt. 6:25 to say you can wear whatever you want, but anyone can read down to 6:33 and see he's talking about not worrying about how you will be clothed, fed, etc. But you'll stay at 6:25 as an excuse not to obey. And you don't obey Jesus when you don't obey his Apostles. Paul (chosen vessel unto Jesus) and Peter (who Jesus gave the keys to heaven to) BOTH spoke against women wearing jewelry.

Go run 100 on the freeway and tell the cop "He's just a man n u dont have to listen to him" and watch what happens. If that stuff didn't matter, why was it written? This means that JESUS said marriage is preferred for LIFE - or as in NO more divorce - which in turn meant MEN could no longer marry more than ONE woman.
A eunuch is someone who is NOT able to have sex with a woman. A eunuch is NOT necessarily celibate. By biblical terms as EUNUCH is a homosexual person.
Jesus purposely lists 3 (three) different statees of being a Eunuch. If a eunuch was only meant to devote life to GOD, Jesus would NOT have mentioned the first two states.

Jesus says "eunuchs who have been made eunuchs by others". . In those days some men were castrated so as to serve in harems or kingdoms. But NOT all were castrated. Some choose to live as a eunuch for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. Still this does NOT denote virginity or celibacy. Otherwise JESUS would have used the word virgin or celibacy.

Whereas, Paul, in his discussion of marriage, does state that he would prefer people to be unmarried and celibate.
Jesus says NO such thing.
In fact, these 3 different states of being a eunuch (or as in todays terms homosexual) - JESUS is not saying that one stays in these states, but the ones who can accept these states SHOULD accept it.

No where does JESUS ever say I am the "enforcer. NO where.
Jesus is the JUDGE - that is a far cry from the meaning and action of an enforcer.
We have free will. So where does free will and learning about Christ come in.
Christ knocks at our door of our hearts, but NEVER barges in.
Christ TELLS us the right way to live, but he then allows those pearls of truth to fall where they may. Matt 13 - parable of the sower.

I am in my 50's and been to many churches, studied many religions, and lived a full life. I also love Jesus with all my heart, mind, body and soul. I am still learning, but YOU KNOW ME NOT> Jesus forces NO one. He guides and loves people. The enforcer on earth for most part is man.
The judgement comes at our day of death. To teach and guide is what Jesus did and he allowed people to listen and learn and prayed they would go HIS way. He told them the consequence of their actions.

I am also glad to hear you are STILL learning... So, am I...
Enforcers are also TRUE Shepherd's (Pastors) of Jesus Christ...
You must understand that a Shepherd not only loves his flock? He "disciplines" them also.. Yes, this is done out of love...

To DISCIPLINE: means to TEACH and NOT to HIT.
When men discover that they can TEACH their children quite WELL without hitting they will be so SORRY in heaven.
Why not LEARN now that one does NOT spank children for them to behave. One stays with them teaching them or taking away privileges or getting them to CLEAN up their spilled milk.

To love means to NOT hurt or hit. It means it becomes a harder way to raise children.
JESUS never said to HIT children. Instead he said let the little children come and to be LIKE a little child with faith.
It is grown adults who ruin the faith of children. Not the other way around.

But what are you ENFORCING? Those are strong words.
Jesus NEVER FORCED. So to take the stance of ENFORCEMENT is actually contrary to Jesus teaching.
We can RELAY the gospel and pray that people will hear and respond. But we cannot enforce.

You know very well Jesus talked on such things that we can translate to today. .
He ate with tax collectors and prostitutes. He converted them GENTLY, with LOVE and with compassion.
When you find the word COMPUTER, x box addiction, and SEX addiction and marijuana or meth and WIFE and CHILD ABUSE in the bible, come back and post. CUSTOMS or CULTURAL norm of that day (as in how to dress) is NOT the same as our beheviour and CONDUCT to be good to ourselves and others.
