i think meshuggah is absolutly incredible, but i dont think there is any reason to bash "djent" bands. meshuggah was the band that revolutionized this new style, and i think that a lot of really cool bands have come out from it, including after the burial, volumes, periphery, animals as leaders etc. also, i dont think its fair to dub it simply progressive metal, there is a definate sound to these new bands and should be recognized as a seperate genre, ex: BTBAM are prog, but their not djent

these Sumerian's promos are really awesome. At the first time this album really didn't catch me, I felt like it was their rip-off of their previous albums (I was like what, the creators have quit the band and the remaining members try to imitate their earlier stuffs?) Now I don't get, why did I feel this way. Just have listened to this album a 20 times, and it blows my head away. Experimental metal at its best! This is what After the Burial have always been.

anyone that this is their weakest album? this is still good, but Rareform was amazing. Forging a Future Self was simple but pretty good. This album's definitely the least catchy of the three.

@uiacfatc you're completely wrong, don't know where you got your info but its wrong. Clean vocals on "in Dreams" were done by Trent and Ryan Jimenez. Ryan was there for all the vocal production, he also is thanked on the liner notes by Anthony for "amazing creativity" In fact, Ryan actually came up with the melody for Pendulum. true story. Ryan and Anthony are childhood friends and were in a band together.
