Your title says Dead PSP Battery FIX

To really fix your dead PSP battery (like shown in the video) do this:

1. Take out the battery touch the left and the right pin on the battery (leave the middle one) with wire, shorting it. Leave it shorted for about 10 seconds. If this doesn't work go to step 2.

2. Connect a PC fan, light bulb or any other appliance that runs on 5V directly to the battery on the + and - pins. Let it dry the battery flat. It may take over 24 hours.

@MrIndianRebel Guys, don't get your hopes down. Just keep your battery out of your PSP and let it cool off. I had the "exact" same problem and could only turn my PSP on when it was attached to the charger. I did this as soon as the problem happened for about 5 minutes and it still didn't work. Though when I allowed it to cool off even longer (for about 2 hours..) it turned on perfectly like how it used to. This usually happens if you keep a PSP battery in a different model for too long.

Its all because of the custom firmware. You need a pandora battery to use it. When you open the battery up then cut that wire, its a pandora battery. That can't be fixed. Only thing now is to buy a new battery. Which im gunna do =/

If your psp works with your charger and when you take it out, it doesnt; new battery. If you cant charge your battery; new battery... Try not to charage via a USB cable, it isnt recommended.

oh and when you get new batterys, try your hardest to get genuine as i brought 2 batterys that wernt and f*kd up in a few days. genuine works best..

look up usb slim charge mod on google i have it and i use my motorola phone charger to charge my psp while playing a game.. YAY!

um.... Yeah there is a folder called slim and a folder called fat. what u have to do is, i think,

1. put the phat folder in the se plugins folder in the root of the memory card.

2. then go to the recovery menu and then go to plugins and enable all of them

If you charge ur psp and u dont get a orange light, new battery is needed, if you charge the battery and only last a couple of mins, new battery is needed, if u cannot turn psp on with battery (no ac connected) u need a new battery.... to test if its ur battery or ur PSP!!! do this: Insert ur battery, turn ur psp on, if it doesnt, take it out, then place the AC in the PSP WITHOUT the battery, if psp turns on, this means its ur battery thats screwing with u... in other words, NEW BATTERY lol,,,.

Your battery seems to be fried, get a friends battery, put in yours if it works, then ull need a new battery.. neva charge ur psp using a usb adapter, try not too, its not 'healthy' for the psp, always try an ac adapter... if ur ac adapter isnt working, try or use a mates original charing adapter, if that work, then that means u need a new battery

Yeah, that battery was screwed, so i went back to EB games before the 7 day trial ended, got the battery swapped for a new one (same brand) and it worked on the psp...
