"Samantha's Law" is an Amendment to legislation; direct result of recommendation to Ministry stemming from the tragic circumstances that erupted out of Samantha Martin's life and death.
Loving, supportive families of a child with disability are to be distinctly regarded from the Child Intervention Model.
"The Family Support for Children with Disabilities Program to have separate legislation from that of child protection services."
The premise of honouring Family-Centred Care Practice has been long absent in legislation. Samantha's family intends for Amendment to reach North American status. In loving tribute to their beautiful daughter - who will ALWAYS matter to those who loved her and for all the children & families before and after who ethically and lawfully require protection of basic human rights.
CPS dose some really sick shit, They take children that don't need to be in the system, and they DO NOT help children are near death that are in the hands of abusive parents, FUCKED UP! I just hope they get there heads on straight. Born with ASD 1991
Your girls are lovely! Oh God....how I miss my 11 year old son and 13 year old daughter...please help bring them back to our family too! Just because we are autistic and stuggle with depression and anxiety, why do these people have the right to descriminate against loving parents!
i have it on good authority that you are a wonderful mother. cindy, our mutual friend, is amazing to me the way she effortlessly handles her boys, where i have trouble dealing with my two and they have no major hurtles to jump. i also suffer from depression myself, and i'm lucky to have a supportive and loving husband to help me through it. it's so easy to point a finger when you haven't come close to walking in another person's shoes. i try to remember this in every situation. xx
you are in our prayers. I too have autism and one day want to have kids. This should never have happened. I know you have the support of the whole comunity behind you
My heart just breaks for you!!!! I too, am an autistic adult--i'm not married--i don't have children-but i still feel your agony and pain-and i too am Christian! I will pray for you that you will have your sweet girls back SOON---VERY soon!! :)
Linda, My family and I are hoping with all our hearts that you and your girls will be reunited soon. Something similar happened to us, and we know it is just awful what you are all going through -- another family touched by autism
God bless you dear and know Jesus is my rock and he is in control. He will quide you s well. Keep the faith. I do understand very much on soothing, diet etc.. because I to live with all the same things my girls do. Your encouragement is just what I needed. Blessings sister, Linda
I'm so sorry about your situation. If anything you would probably understand them better than anyone else. My daughter was just recently diagnosed with autism, and it's a hard journey. But I trust God will help us. I encourage you that the God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob cares for you as well. And you can see him in the face of Jesus Christ.
