I was there for 1 week, and we never heard Bentley claim to be a prophet or the messiah. He did give Jesus glory for all the healings that took place.

I was there for 1 week and we didn't even hear about an angel! So please stop with that accusation. We were only lifting up Christ. But this was a healing revival, most of use were already Christians, who wanted to start healing people like Jesus commanded us to. Before the revival, my healing prayers weren't producing much effect, but now after the revival, in 1 weeks time, 4 people (here in China) have claimed to be healed by my prayer. Why wasn't this happening before I went to Lakeland.

You didn't hear about an Angel cause Bentley is quieting down a bit about them, but he does hold to the Charismatic view of Angels. And people healed by "your" prayers? Scripture says that the fervent prayers of a righteous person avails much, but actually the righteous person's prayers doing the final result? Seems a tad bit self-righteous. Perhaps you could word that a bit different. Also reference the scripture where God decreed us all to go out to heal people.

Angels weren't the focus of the revival.

But be careful, because now it you talk about an angel, or if you have an encounter with an angel, you'll have condemned yourself.

Robert - you can easily find several videos that show his claims with "the angel" - I'm not worried about having an encounter with an angel - If one shows up, claiming to be an angel, I will, as we've all been commanded, "test the spirits." You should do the same.

If it's not in scripture, it's not of the Lord.

"Jesus Christ came in the Flesh and was resurrected" - Ok, so that passes the Test the Spirit clause of scripture.

Here's a good example, I once witnessed an Angel reach into my body and help to remove food poisoning from me. Well that's not in scripture, so by your definition, I must conclude it was an evil spirit.

The truth your going for is this, God doesn't contradict Himself, but He is NOT limited in doing only what He did in the past. That's the God in a Box theory that I disagree with.

robert - I'm not saying that you have an evil spirit - from what I can see, you seem genuine in your beliefs. You may have "witnessed an angel..." maybe not. Perhaps it was some hypnotic suggestion, or perhaps it was emotional - lots of possibilities.

The point is, God's character is unchanging - He doesn't do things that are contrary to His nature. He says worship should be done in decency and order, then it should be done in decency and order. (more)

God says that the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, self-control, then that's the fruit - not tongues, not dubious healings, not laughing, not rolling around on the floor and acting like an idiot.

God says that teachers of false doctrines should be silenced - they should be silenced. Bentley fits this last category.

Satan isn't the author of healing, but he is the author of confusion and deception. Show me in the Bible where someone received ONLY partial healing and it was a God thing.

Jesus prayed for a blind man, and afterwards the man was not completely healed, so Jesus prayed again. Do you think its possible that we, who have much less faith than Jesus, and less power, might ignorantly stop praying before a complete healing has taken place? It probably happens many more times that we know about.

But the blind man did get healed completely. Heard of the power of suggestion? Some people who claim to get healed at these revivals actually have their conditions come back worse days later following the revival meeting. Why? Because they didn't have faith that God had really healed them.

The Holy Spirit heals today and performs miracles. Check out Iris ministries, the Voice of the Martyrs, and the miracles occurring in the persecuted church worldwide. But Bentley is a con artist. Do not be deceived by signs and wonders, even those done in Jesus' name. Matt. 7:22-23.

He promotes himself and his visions.

He says we must believe in "the angel" rather than emphasizing belief in Christ. Pray for those deceived by Todd's show. Jim Jones also performed "healing miracles."

We dont have to worry GOD WILL VINDICATE TODD again and again and again I find myself praying for pity for those that hate us. They are the real ones being hurt by their hate and they are our brothers. May all reading this please agree in earth that the spirit of antichrist will leave these tormented souls alone. I have to agree with you, atleast on your opinion concerning your fellow believers. Personally, I am an atheist but I find it humurous that people, who take their entire beliefs with faith, should question anothers beliefs.

I honestly don't see how anyone could be fooled by the very simple tricks Bentley uses, but that goes for every preacher I've ever met. And I was once a minister, so I know many phonies.
