Gatot Purwanto at the time of the invasion was a commando in the Indonesian Army and was then made into Timor's intelligence chief from 1975 onwards, no the alleged genocide will not be investigated as officially its a mattter for your Government, we are investigating the deaths of the men because they were Australian and as a result neutral in the matter and keep in mind we do have evience that the men were murdered and since its a war crimes investigation Diplomatic Immunity does not exist

@sirsmokalotii murder investigations take a long time, 12 months is nothing compared to some of our investigations, the gangland murders spring to mind or the 1998 Silk-Miller Police murders (they were the first Victorian Police personnel killed on duty since 1990) it took a long time for these investigations to close so be on the lookout because the AFP has all the time in the world.

@sirsmokalotii that incident was regrettable and idiotic on the New South Wales Police's part, the Federal Government takes this seriously however its not a political matter its a police procedural one, even the Federal Attorney-General cannot interfere with what the AFP is doing however we do know that if we lean on Indonesia enough they may just cooperate, we cannot send our police officers uninvited to Indonesia to arrest those we feel are responsible, thats an act of war
