I've recently bought one of these and I was immediately chuffed with the sound. I'm now even more chuffed since I realised yesterday that all the controls go to eleven! ;-) SP we love you.
@jmelchor29 yep, if your anywhere thats so small they dont have a house system for you to direct into then this will be loud enough to carry you. (you can always let your guitarist set up first and sneakily turn his volume down a notch whilst your plugging in!)
To those that ask about how hard these are to use.... I have a Line 6 Spider IV HD 150 head and cab for my regular guitar playing. They have even more buttons and such than the low downs. You can figure them out in 10 minutes goofing off with them in the store. Once you understand what each button does, its very simple.I dont even use the fron panel on mine to ammount to anything anymore.I have a FBV Shortboard pedal for it and use it most.I love my line 6 stuff, great value, performance, rock solid
hey man, so i'm using a Fender Rumble 15 right now with a Fender Precision bass, the bass is fine, but i play in a Black Metal Band and..well obviously the 15 watt amp isn't cutting threw haha, i've got my eye's on the Line 6 Lowdown HD400 Pro, for it's wattage, Size and pure power which is more than enough to cut threw the mix, so being as it's a lower Price, would the 300 be Capable of the same thing? or should i go with the 400?
im thinking about buying a orange cr100btx.. or this amp... what do u think is better?.... i heard the orange is made in china and they are not good enough.... only tube orange are made in uk................. so what shoul i buy???
@starterrn yeah it is loud enough for that. the only problem is that since its solid state, when turned up very loud it does loose some tone. but thats common for alot of solid state amps.
its as awesome bass amp! but make sure while ur play'n in a gig u dont change da mechanism or volume on da nobs cause it will disfigure ur settings, guess its a computer thing inside of it...cause it happen 2 me a few times until i got used 2 my settings & jus changed the sets on my bass...figure u Bassers should know...
@ShytFerBraynes : no doubt about it, great amp (but my only con) when u turn on the pwr it dosn't come on right away, but u have to do that two or more times until it's on... =0l
if you get a footswitch for this amp, wil you be able to controll the Octaver effect with the rocking (wah style ) controler on it? like a digitech whammy? thanks!
Most effects on Line 6 amps are hard to be used in the real world they sound cool but thats about it. It tried out this amp before it seemed to lag when playing faster.
haha oh. uhm i havent really fiddled with it. ive only used it when i play "superwhat?" from superbad. i was a clean setting that i use for funk and regular play. i just turn the filter on and leave it
resonance not renaissance dude nice amp ime gettin 1 ive got the 110 at the mo but the memory thing just looks like it could be so much more pacticle on stage nice vid
Just look at the lights on the memory channels. Play a string and tune it until both lights are flashing as stable and green as you can get in both B and C. Rinse and repeat! Works wonders for me.
were you playin "Come as you are" at the end? Oh and I love Line6 amps, my friend has got one for lead but bass still rules and I'm looking to get one of these amps.
yeha that was nirvana. i actually stumbled upon this amp on accident. i was at a music store and i wanted to try a jazz bass, the guy plugged me into it and it sounded fantastic! i has a spider as well its only a 35w for guitar. great amps
that bass amp is so cool! i had already had my eye on a few line 6 amps but you have just made my mind up that is awesome!! im so excited im getting one! :) thx
Sorry, that should read ST! Doh!

Grabbed one of these this past Friday (November 4th) for $449 New.
(OK, it was new in the box despite being a 2006 product).
It's great with the line 6 'shortboard' which makes navigation of all the settings easy as pie & expands it to 95 of your own 'Pre-sets'
I looked at the 'Express pedal board' for just under $100 more the 'shortboard is way better.
The comment below about "Clean on a line 6" YES & YES & YES...
Comment about "Can you play a guitar with it"? They make em for guitar

the idea of a 300 watt B15 is very appealing.

rofl that synth sounds exactly what its like when I'm takin one to the porcelain
Fenderkicksass 1 year ago
I've had a couple years and am fairly happy with it. The distortion is crap unless you are using the Grind amp setting.
The tuner works fine. To tune to standard, hit any string and tune it until the B and C buttons on the amp are both green.

did this amp sounds louder than a peavey tnt 115? and can i use it for big gigs?
horsepowers500 2 years ago
its probably louder than the 115. medium sized gigs and has xlr so you can plug it into bigger cabs
shizazzz 2 years ago
So I dont have to spend money on a tuner? since this one comes with one built in?
OrkSlayer3434 2 years ago
yeha tuner built in. oyu can even use it for guitar. but the set back is that you can t tune it anydifferent than standard tuning

OrkSlayer3434 2 years ago
does the headphone output also work as a recording output? like is it just a regular auxilery out
StephenRTobias 2 years ago
The cab shuts down when headphones are plugged in. but the xlr port is meant for recording
shizazzz 2 years ago
can i plug a speaker cable into my ld150 and into my peavey cab?
it worked when i used a behringer with two 1/4" ends, but with this having and xlr and a 1/4", i dont want to buy a cable if its not going to work.
please reply thanks :)
