I love David Gates! I saw his concert in the early 80's. He must be that sensitive and loving to write these lyrics and feel it. You can see the emotion on his face when he sings.

I dont know the tab to this, but you can try capoing the 2nd fret. It sounds like the chords are a G,Em,C,Am,D all open chords with some variations and bass runs. Thats just what my ear tells me. And without my guitar in my hand, we cant trust my ears fully!!! lol
