@HarvestHollow just do nothing but play Bach, do scales, arpeggios, fourths, fifths, octaves and key changes for 6 or 8 months =].

But I guess I understand how your way could work, blues scales are important for learning the more recent stuff in the last 60 or 70 years.

I just think the guy is a real good at fingering and hammering along, but I'm looking beyond his demonstration of rhythmic technique and trying to find the artistry. It is lacking here. But I sure would like to learn from him on how to work the mechanics of my kurzeil, because he is nothing but a mechanic. His wrench is his left hand and his pliars is his right. He knows how to crank on a keyboard, but I would not want to listen to it in an elevator.
