  • imclosetfree: thanks Jason.

  • Wow!

(and several snaps in Z-formation, YO!)

People like that princess wore me out several years ago. Thanks in part to them, I went from being a 'giver' to a 'don't give a shit no more.'

  • OhCurt: it's interesting you say that since the same thing happened to me. I am still a giver but I have learned when to keep out of the drama and when to say no. It's a good feeling saying no when I mean it instead of obligating myself to always be available. Taking time for myself has been an amazing experience and very eye opening. Not spreading myself to thin has done wonders.

  • my princess is still haunting me. guess she didn't find another idiot then. but I don't answer any calls for 2 years now! SOLIDARITY !

  • PPJnet: that sucks. How you doing?

  • Wow you go girl! :) I watched the whole thing. Very nice "fairy tale". :)

  • ARRGGH! I keep missing videos! I wish YT would get the subscription glitch fixed. I only found this by looking at azienoch's vid!

  • JustA11en: so it's not just me then? I'm glad to hear that. I guess...

  • this has a great message. i'm glad you shared it.

  • TaraThelen: thank you. Always happy to share!

  • Great video. And one, too, that a lot of people have experienced with a friend.

  • djplazma: I keep hearing similar stories from people too. It's sad that these bad apples keep popping up.

  • Great vlog! Good for you!

(It was good for me, too ;‹)

    Thanks for sharing.

  • At first I was worried that your Princess was Az (even though he sounded nothing like him - except for the good-looking part) but I don't think you'd link him with such enthusiasm if that were the case.

  • Elaina43: Princess Azrienoch! lol

  • ;‹D

  • OOH! Do you think he would let me be his Lady in Waiting? But what would I be waiting for? And how will I know it when I see it?

  • You'd have to be in waiting behind me.

I'm guessing I'll know it when I get IT!

  • Ohhh, I've been there gurrl- I call them "the quick sand people", and they will drag you down. Never say "how are you?" That's the first step.

  • mickmusing: true that! I love that phrase "the quick sand people." Very accurate description.

  • good vid.

  • exzentriker402: thank you.

  • amazing

  • dubaiedge: thank you.

  • Werd. It took me a long time to figure out you should only invest as much give-a-shit in others as they invest in you.

  • DILLIGAF333: aint that the truth!

  • "there is certainly no nobility in dimming your own light so that someone else's can shine brighter."

    just plain brilliant.

  • Braddlee87: isn't that brilliant! I heard someone say that and loved it. Now it is my mantra!

  • Love what you had to say here! Thanks for making this!

  • MattieCooper: thank you. This is a true story and one that was a deciding factor in changing my life for the better.

  • Fived, fav'd, and subbed.

  • maksiiiskam2: thank you.

  • This makes me so happy!

  • I'm glad you made a new video. I've had many friends in the past that were the same way. It took me almost 2 years to realize they were only my friends because they wanted something from me. Within a 3 week period I snapped. I deleted their phone numbers, I stopped calling, and I stopped going to see them. The end result was that I then had time to spend with the friends who have actually been there for me since I was a kid.

I never really heard from those fair weather friends again.

  • aquabanianskakid: thanks man. I wish I had realized all of this sooner.
