T20 Cricket is the format to market in the US. It makes baseball look so slow and boring in comparison.

I disagree. Baseball and Cricket are both great sports but incidentally USA had kicked out Cricket a loong time back.

Once I tried to watch a cricket match and fell asleep right away. But recently i went to australia and was informed on the rules, the history and other stuff and now i can appreciate it a little more. I don't know how popular it will ever get, but not to long ago soccer wasn't that popular either and look where it is at now. And the guys asleep in the crowds are actually passed out theres no better way to make the match go buy faster than drinking a few cold ones!

@gyaanfreak - Now another twist to Cricket that even T20 can't save this ship from drowning. First India isn't interested in spreading the game (with drawal from Asian games) second Pakistan loves to cheat (recent spot fixing). Cricket is more boring now than ever.

Cricket needs to allow fighting like hockey, shorten their games to about half an hour long, and get shinier looking uniforms if it ever wants to dream about being popular in America.

Cricket isn't popular because it is exceptionally boring to watch...

I have watched England play on TV and half of the audience is 60+ and fast asleep.

I'm not dissing Cricket, Just saying that most people don't find interest in it, If you like it that's great more power to you! My point is you can't pull the crowds that super bowl does, Cricket is a very different animal.

I don't even like sports. =/
