This may be a different version than I've seen, or maybe a different season, but I thought at least in season-1 they used some kind of bubbles for transforming. They become enclosed in bubbles and turn into black shadows and then materialize out of their bubbles with their super hero costumes. Sort of like "rebirth" concept with the bubbles being their "uterus".

Y'know my mom never got why I used to dislike this show when I loved Winx Club...it was the fact they all looked alike in Transformation mode...

Something that always baffles me is that people keep comparing Winx to this show. Why? They are NOTHING alike. Winx takes place in a different dimension with a magical learning center. WITCH delves into the alternate lives the girls lead both on Earth and in the separate worlds they have to save. Plus, its only a coincidence that some of the girls have similar personalities. It's a cliche that's been used time and time again,so it shouldn't bother anybody. Both shows are great for what they are.

I don't HATE this show,but I like the chapter books better. The comics came first,but the chapter book adaptation has more detail. Not only that,but in the animated show,they barely base it on the books. Elyon betrays them for Cedric,Cornelia sees Caleb in her dreams,Yan Lin dies,Irma turns a guy into a toad,Taranee gets captured in Meridian,Cornelia goes to Meridian by herself and meets Elyon and Caleb,Mrs.Rudolph was Elyon's nurse...God.

all true BUT!bare in mind that the comic book can be read in about 15 minutes right?they had to make aTV series that lasts for more than 20 minutes.plus the comic comes out once a month-what would you do if you had to make a different episode every WEEK for a year?the story in the comic is not so long.... for the above reasons they had to change it a looot...but it still is a very good show...
