i never got to understand what gospel has to do w/ Giant Steps or vice versa. Gospel musicians seem to feel an urge to play that Coltrane tune as though it's validation for their gospel skills. If they want to be jazz players, then why don't they play jazz? They're two different genres.

@captureman4000 R U Serious?!? Jazz is probably the funnest genre to play, because of all the improvisation you can slam into it. Simply put.... It's just fun as 'Heaven to play.
