  • fuckin sweet its very eeri u do the instremental or u just rip it

  • -this is black metal? you dont know your music...

  • "depressive black metal" certainly is a sub genre of black metal. This instrumental might not be the best example, regarding the lack of drums, which are of course important for the original, true black metal sound. Although I'd like to hear YOUR definition of black metal, since you're such a smart-ass.

  • Dude, i'm a musician who play drums. -i'm not saying that a song "needs" drums to be a certain genre, but when that genre is Black Metal- regardless of if it's "depressive", it kind of needs the percussive beat structure to hold the song together. It's like having Irish or Scottish music without bagpipes. sure, you can do it... but it sounds like it's missing something. I'm not saying you can't have an almost acoustic instrumental, but it's hard to classify it as black metal. you feel me?

  • Dude this is a Xasthur song, and Xashtur is a pioneering band in the depressive black metal genre, you need to learn your shit before you open your idiot mouth.

  • Most ambient has no drums and depressive black metal has a lot of ambient influence.

  • yeah i'm not huge in my sub-genres. i'm a jazz drummer, but i started in a grindcore band. so when i hear "death metal" something different comes to mind. you know?

  • then i apologize. my bad.

  • dude-i freakin apologized. get over yourself.

  • @timmy41 im prolly gunna have to agree with you, but do u have any idea what genre this is then? cuz i got no idea XD
