In 1943, the German command began the formation of the Estonian SS division police units. Piigli with Arthur Werner and Pupartom Soerom went to serve in its ranks, took the oath of allegiance to Nazi Germany and participated in the battles against the Red Army. "Battle Road" Piigli graduated in 1945 in Czechoslovakia, in a POW camp, where hiding under a different name.

In Europe there are many dictatorial regimes - such as Hungary, Romania, Italy. Think of the dictatorial regime of Pilsudski in Poland, or the dictatorial regime in Estonia until 1939. This is a slippery historical path.

There is difference between autocratic and dictatorial regimes. If I remember correctly there were only two dictatorial regimes and one semi-dictatorial which was fashist Italy. Other were democratic and autocratic. Use wikipedia to make the difference.
There might be 1-2 events were Estonians were forced to fulfill the German commands(executions). But when we start counting NKVD crimes in Estonia from 1940 to end of NKVD's existence then it is much worse in multiple times.

Even the Germans have a collective responsibility in the outbreak of World War II. It is through such agreements, peace is possible in Europe the past 65 years. I am also sure that it is the Russian soldiers humanizing Germans before the world. The more the Wehrmacht conquered, the more they look the animals.

When the Red Army liberated Europe, some of its soldiers have committed criminal offenses - theft, unauthorized murder, rape. The Red Army had 10 million soldiers in 1945. Many of these soldiers felt hatred for the Germans. However, the Soviet command had never pursued the Germans planned policy of genocide. Russian has never burned a single village, along with residents in western Europe.

That is one of the things we likely shouldnt had done, its none our business to go there. But at least our troops got some real combat experience, and thats about the only thing we did get of that.
As for EU, that seemes to has brought us more trouble than its worth, we shouldnt had joined EU.
Got nothing against Nato though.

and it dosnt mean they will leave us in peace if we patronize them.
Just because them West seems wealthy, dosnt mean that theyr methods would work the same way for us if adopted.
And if we take theyr example too much, we will loose who we are.

I remember when I was forced to be a slave in Red Soviet Army in 1985-87. I came back with honour (I survived because I remembered these patriots and old Estonian men as in this video). I remembered the Honour of my nationality and I never surrendered black schitt (Uzbeks, Kazakhs etc Neanderthal men)! - it was awful, no one, who hasn't seen it, can't understand 6 times, when someone wanted to kill me for being an Estonian!!! I got the highest - gunnery sergeant - Estonians couldn't get more!!!
