does someone know, if there will be some hints in the movie why Gandalf left the company and headed south in the mirkwood? that he is acompanied by the white council to exterminate the worlock of mirkwood a.k.a Sauron? i would like to see Glorfindel also in the movie, i guess they will give him some cool role,after all he is second in command of Rivendell, even if he isn't mentioned in the book...Also the perfect role for Thranduil is Vladimir Kulich, who played Buliwyf in 13th warrior

I'm a 6th grader reading the book in my 3rd hour CA class. Reading it, I know that they got A LOT wrong. For Example: Bilbo shouldn't be that old in the beginning. He should look, I dunno, 23? Hobbits age differently. Second, Dwarves should be a bit shorter, and Hobbits are only half thew size of humans. Around 1:29, that lady isn't in there. And NOWHERE did it say that hobbits have large pointy ears. They have 'sharp' ears, meaning good hearing. HOWEVER,I'm extremely exited and can BARELY wait!
