That is, of course, Jack Bruce on ALL the vocals! Three at least, but perhaps more? Nice to see that a least a few people respect the fact that Bruce was the anchor that allowed Clapton (whom I respect as a talent) to fly and eventually achieve the status of "Icon".
oh its a sweet song. I find myself singing "I don't care if I get no where, I can just dream and you'll be there, what else is there to do?" on the daily
This is such a sad song, but thats why its so great. I've had this feeling before. Losing a lover and wanting them back so bad, and being terrified by the thought of never having them around again. But eventually you get over it and back to life you go.
o yea that is true. i always argue that. i thought you meant like o jacks the best. but he is an amazing bass player. saw him do a show with frampton and ringo starr and he played a fretless bass. hes amazing no doubt
Darn those few seconds of silence at the beginning, I turned up my volume to see if it was real quiet and you can guess the rest. Anyway, Good to hear the song.
Just ONE of the many great things about the band was the balance musically from the great blues instinct from Eric along with the jazz and ethnic patterns from Ginger and the classical, folk and jazz from Jack, the refined consummate professional musician and songwriter
@abottomful I hear ya but lets face it without all of them...there wouldn't have been Cream-lol! Saw Cream live in '66 and at least 5 Jack Bruce shows.Never ceased to amaze me...maybe because I'm a bass player too.
Jack was Cream.

That guitar riff at 1:06 is so amazing! I wish it lasted longer.

Jack Bruce admired JS Bach's bass lines, and this is a prime example of his influence. Gorgeous!
