That is a specious argument. After the unregulated western industrial whaling (for oil) of the last century drove some species to be endangered ended, the whales numbers quickly came back up. There are now more than 600,000 arctic Minkes alone.

And now the whaling is limited, and sustainable. The antis are just against any meat consumption or killing "cute" animals.

When I first heard about Paul Watson, the Sea Shepard and their cause, I thought I would like them.

I watched every episode of Whale Wars and each one made me feel differently about them, then I saw the fake shooting episode. I reallized that Paul Watson is not worthy of my respect.

@Knothole When poled, fewer than 10% of japanese people have EVER eaten whale meat, and of those that have, fewer than 5% eat it on a regular basis, price being the main reason. The diet of the Japanese people is quite safe from SSCS.
