I found this by song by accident while listening to Sister Rosetta sing "Down by the Riverside"....Postively mesmerizing. Gorgeousness, as always eminating from Allison's Krauss' lips to God's ears.
This rendition of this song is positively hypnotic! The song, the performance, might be expected of Krauss, but Plant's participation is surprising and alluring in some strange way! I can't stop listening to it!!
this would go well with a shadow puppet like animation from Australia. I don't remember what the name was but it was very steam-punk and had cities built on top of itself. The main character is a navigator (a finder) who eventually takes a flying ship (they have these I already stated steam punk) on an uncharted route with some crazy people.
the overall tone of the movie would go really well with this song, partly because (spoiler if you want to see it) he dies in the end after killing the crew.
Sam Phillips, former Christian singer, Leslie Phillips has written some of the finest music. When I first heard this song, I knew exactly who wrote it.
This is FUCKING NICE!

This really reminds me of some Emilliana Torrini.
Especially "The Gollum song" from "The two towers" soundtrack- Check her out :D

I am transfixed by this song but what is it really about? I thought it was about suicide after a failed romance with an indifferent partner?

It's tribute to classic gospel singer & guitarist Sister Rosetta Tharpe (1915-1973).
There are many of her videos on here..check 'em out!

I think you will find it interesting to look up the video named Sister Rosetta Tharp, "Up Above My Head I hear music in the air"

Thanks ...She is amazing - Sister Rosetta Tharp- I've just added that song to my favorites - its reminds me of that old classic - Swing Low....
Swing low, sweet chariot
Coming for to carry me home
Swing low, sweet chariot
Coming for to carry me home
I looked over Jordan and what did I see
Coming for to carry me home
A band of angels coming after me
Coming for to carry me home
