99% of you probably won't even read this..but I just turned 18 and I am trying my best to become a horse. On the 25th of December I am traveling to the wide open fields of Nevada to hopefully learn from the best horses. Being a horse means a lot to me.
I've just started my training. I have just nailed horseshoes to my feet (really hurts) and shaved my hair into a horse mane. It would mean the world to me if you supported me and helped me complete my ambition
A horse I adopted in my teens taught me about world peace. Rebel was a broken-down show horse -- abused, starving, and angry. I saw myself in him. After paying his ransom, I took him to the wilderness, loosened the reins, hung onto his mane for dear life, and just let him run!
After a year of getting to choose his own path through the wilderness, Rebel became as gentle as a dove. He regained his peaceful free spirit, and so did I. He taught me the importance of freedom in achieving world peace.
I used to go out with a real ‘horsey’ girl. At first I thought it was quite cute- I would watch her riding & jumping at weekend events, & the gear she wore (jodhpurs, crop etc) served as a good aphrodisiac.
However, things soon got a bit weird & I had to split up with her- more & more time was spent with her ‘other half’. Eventually she tried to persuade me to wear a horses-head mask (complete with reins & bit for my mouth) for lovemaking purposes. This freaked me out & I ran out the house.
Ah, 2 of my favourite things, horses and western music :) I remember that this song was a horse ride in Skegness in the arcades and I used to go on it ALL the time! I still do xD I absolutely LOVE cowboy films :P

Federal Wild Horses and Burros Act has been in place since 1971. Please remind the goverment of this act and require that they stop abusing our beautiful wild horses and burros. The wild horses do not cause any harm to humans so why are they being harmed?
@savewildhorses1 Don't worry, where I live in Australia (just out from Brisbane) they go out in helicopters and shoot the brumbies and about 6,000 horses are killed in two weeks. It's really horrible and there is nothing anyone can do to stop them from doing it because they just say its to "control environmental damage" so I know how you feel
@savewildhorses1 Oh we have plenty of Animal welfare laws. The problem is the laws which state that an animal is allowed to be killed as longs as it is done "humanely” and the law that allows them to destroy all animals that cause the “destruction of native animals of fauna”. At Carnarvon National Park the government says they shoot them in the head and heart but at they often miss and hit them elsewhere causing them to fall or die in other ways, including foals being left to starve to death.
@BibiTheRat The laws here are similar here, apply to everyone except the government. The real problems are people, they are greedy and selfish, everything is all about money, all are taking up more land space then they need driving wild life away from their habitat. All the people here can fit in California. It is really a crying shame that some humans are so heartless causing intentional harm and suffering to poor defenseless animals. We have to help the animals anyway we can.
@savewildhorses1 Thats the worst part they don’t kill them humanely; it is impossible for a few helicopters to go out and kill that many horses and only be shooting them in the head and heart. They don’t just kill the brumbies either I don’t know if you know in America or not but they cull the Kangaroos as well not just brumbies; we are also encouraged to kill the cane toads and other feral birds and fish. We have the laws it’s just a matter of making the government follow those laws.
@BibiTheRat You can do plenty, find all the petitions against the abuse in Australia and sign them, then forward to everyone you know to do the same. That is what we do here. Even if you can save a few, it matters.

Federal Wild Horses and Burros Act has been in place since 1971. Please remind the goverment of this act and require that they stop abusing our beautiful wild horses and burros. The wild horses do not cause any harm to humans so why are they being harmed?

@savewildhorses1 Don't worry, where I live in Australia (just out from Brisbane) they go out in helicopters and shoot the brumbies and about 6,000 horses are killed in two weeks. It's really horrible and there is nothing anyone can do to stop them from doing it because they just say its to "control environmental damage" so I know how you feel

@savewildhorses1 Oh we have plenty of Animal welfare laws. The problem is the laws which state that an animal is allowed to be killed as longs as it is done "humanely” and the law that allows them to destroy all animals that cause the “destruction of native animals of fauna”. At Carnarvon National Park the government says they shoot them in the head and heart but at they often miss and hit them elsewhere causing them to fall or die in other ways, including foals being left to starve to death.

The real problems are people, they are greedy and selfish, everything is all about money, all are taking up more land space then they need driving wild life away from their habitat. All the people here can fit in California. It is really a crying shame that some humans are so heartless causing intentional harm and suffering to poor defenseless animals. We have to help the animals anyway we can.

@savewildhorses1 Thats the worst part they don’t kill them humanely; it is impossible for a few helicopters to go out and kill that many horses and only be shooting them in the head and heart. They don’t just kill the brumbies either I don’t know if you know in America or not but they cull the Kangaroos as well not just brumbies; we are also encouraged to kill the cane toads and other feral birds and fish. We have the laws it’s just a matter of making the government follow those laws.

We'd still be years behind if it wasn't for the Horse and the Oxen before them which worked the land, enabling man to evolve from hunter gatherer to a level of technology that can even take them to other planets.
I hope this video heightens appreciation for them and moves governments to establish wild herds, and help them succeed in their freedom. Horses don't want to be ridden, shown, worked, or have catheters inserted into their vaginas for 18hours a day just so humans can extract HRT drugs.

They aren't even native to North America. We all think that they are beautiful but they are not all treated this way. Horses deserve to be running free on the range, using each day to act upon their own natural instincts amid a tiered age range of their own kind that "haven't been denatured". Have you ever seen the glory of a wild herd? I have. Now that's the kind of life that any horse that hasn't had its spirit broken by humans would choose, without a shadow of a doubt.

@MIRCWOOD There still are some, I live in Australia and one day i was driving in the outback and i came across a whole herd of wild brumbys, i know they aren't most of them were descendants of escaped horses when Australia was first colonized in the 1700's
