What's the big whoop about a .50 cal?

Really, it's nothing compared weapons from the past(1800's).

The weapons from the North America 1800's are huge in size, being in a standard rifles from those days .69 calibered weapons were used widely, with melting lead or some other type of hazardous or toxic metal.

The only problem with those weapons was reloading action and the time it takes for it to reload.

If you're going to shoot something, shoot it hard and shoot it down.

i just found out recently that this gun IS THE SHIT....when fired at a range of 1200m (0.7 miles) or less, anything more and the guns accuracy will just sway off ..so that doesn't make it one of the most accurate but anything less then that and it will take off your leg...LITERALLY!!

Dont like this gun, overrated. They say its a LRSW (Long Range Sniper Weapon) bu this thing is no nearly accurate enough to be classified as that, its classidied as a SASR (Special Application Scoped Rifle). Even though it was made to take out vehicles, the US Army seems to think its good for taking out personnel, which it isnt.

This rifle has poor accuracy when compared to our 7.62 x 51mm bolt action sniper rifles. It was purposely designed to be a man portable heavy caliber gun to take out vehicles/aircraft on the ground. I've shot them before and I didn't like them. We could barely get ours to hit consistently at metal dumpsters 1,000 m away with RAUFOSS rounds. They are way over rated.

The rifle really doesn't hurt to fire rapidly! It pushes into your shoulder rather than a hard kick. Ronnie Barrett really made a badass rifle that is pleasant to shoot.

@gtamodman122 It's designed for long range shot to light armored veichles,it's more like a cannon than a sniper rifle XD It doesn't have to be silent... Anti-personnel sniper rifles for "stealth action" have smaller rounds, less weight , they're smaller, and sometimes they're bolt action.
