That's great news. I really used it alot ony pre and android doesn't have anything close to how great this app is. Looking forward to it and thank you.
I would like to see a more "In your face" audible alert. Poss use a MP3. I need something to wake me up and get my attention while I'm driving around.
It does actually use an MP3 for the current alert. In a future release, I plan on adding the ability to define your own music file via the Preferences screen.
Thanks! I hope you enjoy it! If you haven't already, be sure to check out my GeoStrings Guide video series which demonstrates a more up-to-date version of the app.
If the iPhone officially supported apps running in the background, then I would consider porting it. So for now, you'll have to get a Palm Pre or Pixi to get it.
The GeoStrings app is now available in the Palm App Catalog. Please check out my latest video series ("GeoString Guides") for a demonstrations of the final release version of the app.

Loved it on my pre. Any chance you're developing it for android? I would love it on my evo.

@danieljanderson1234 The latest version of GeoStrings now allows you to define your own ringtone or music file for the alert notification.

When do we get the iPhone version? Run it through an email alias to get around the limitations of apps running in the background... papa needs this.

DUDE...you suck!!!!! I was planning on an app JUST like this. Thanks for making it so I didn't have to.
I'm stoked to try it. Just what I needed...I'm never somewhere at a specific time!
Props for the most useful app for webOS
