  • Where is my FiOS =S

  • There is no mafia problems in NYC (if there are, enlighten me). I've lived there 17 years of my 18 years of life and havn't even seen an obvious mafia member. Im upstate in college now, but my home is Harlem (I live in the 110's). The only problem someone would have (that doesnt happen really neither) is confrontation with people around my age, the teens are a little crazy. Its rare that there will be a fight or anything and there are rowdy people in all cities..but just be safe!

  • NYC is GREAT! Find out how you can find traces of a New York of the past, in the present.

On your trip to NYC check out the unrecognized landmarks that are still left while you can on THE URBAN EYE seen on my Thyrdeye Channel.

Find out what real New Yorkers love about this city and view places you won’t see on any tour you can take

  • @THYRDEYE Hello there! Thanks for your comment.

NYC is an incredible mix of touristy and underground things to do and see. Everybody can find something that they will enjoy. Thanks for your videos, they are a great complement to the usual NYC video tours!

  • how much can u afford? It costs alot of money to live in a safe neighborhood

  • Dear New York Habitat,

I am from a small S.C. town and I am planning on moving to NYC. I adapt well to my surroundings, but yet I would like to find a decent place to live in NYC that offers close access to Manhattan along with a vibe that resembles the south the most, along with not being high on the crime list. With the exception of Staten Island, which of the NYC boroughs, areas/neighborhoods within should I consider?

  • @100REALM Thank you very much for your comment :)

We are going to send you a direct message with a couple of questions to better fine tune an apartment search for you. There is much possibilities in New York!

    Thank you again

  • @100REALM dude the crime they say in new york is just fake, but they do have a lot of mafia problems just stay away from them and your safe where ever you live, and i suggest you live in midtown its a nice area with a lot of stuff to do

  • watch out for the Hi-hats

  • i like the host dude....:)

  • What is the music at the beginning please?? anyone?? THANKS!!

  • @MagicAyrtonforever Hello, the track at the beginning of this video comes from a collection of audio loops provided by Adobe in their software suite. The track itself is called “General03-Funk-Mast”. Hope that helps!

  • @NewYorkHabitat Thanks man ;-)

  • manhattan is interesting, fascinating even.. but god, what a horrible place to live. ny sucks.

  • @digitaldown Manhattan definitely is fascinating! And we find it an amazing place to live, but for those in search of a home away from the hustle and bustle of the city; the other boroughs of New York are a very good alternative!

  • Try Gaetano's restaurant on Christopher Street. Amazing Italian food in a classic neighborhood setting. ASk for Frankie and tell them Nicky the twin from California sent you!!

  • @EarlyMorningMusic Thanks for the insider tip Nicky! We will be sure to check it out :)

  • @NewYorkHabitat

Prince St and Houston are my favorite spots in all of Manhattan. Film Forum and Angelicka are the best movies theaters if you are into classics and indies.

Milady's is my favorite bar in the area, great pub grub and a cool jukebox.

I also love the Pop! gallery

  • @EarlyMorningMusic Thank you for sharing some of your favorite Manhattan sites with us! These are great suggestions for travelers to check out in New York City :)

  • LOLS LOVE SOHO & tRIBECA

  • @TobbeStorm Ha! Yes, well, it's nice to know that people notice things like wardrobe. I'll keep it in mind! ;) Thanks for all your comments!

    ~ David

  • @NewYorkHabitat Yep you shold prob do that bro (:

  • 1. Where in New York City would an studio apartment for $800 be found?

  • @jazer74 Thank you for your question. According to our current inventory, the starting price for a furnished apartment in New York is around $1200 (with some exceptions at $950). So we are unable to recommend any areas matching the $800 range.

That said, a great alternative would be a roommate share situation where not only you are splitting the rent but you also can get a bigger apartment. In that price range we have apartment shares in Manhattan.

Please let us know if we can be of any help.

  • this is my future home class of 2014

  • @ImJustATeenageGirl14 Congratulations! Hope you'll enjoy New York and Soho ;)

  • must have been a pain in the ass to put on that fire suite.

  • @niguhfag Yeah, but it was a lot of fun and it was a great experience!

The best part is that you can try on the fire suit yourself if you go to the New York City Fire Museum in Soho. Let us know if you get a chance to do it :)

  • i miss my nyc and i need new apt in nyc please help me

  • @chrisnoelscott New York is great City to live in indeed :)

In order to help you we would need more information like the neighborhood you would like to stay, the type of apartment you are interested in (studio, 1 bedroom, etc...), the amenities you require and more. The best way would be to send us an email or contact us by phone so an agent can answer all your questions. You can also browse our website to search available apartments based on your criteria. We are looking forward to help you.

  • I wanna live here so badly...

  • @Blackestone15 You’re not the only one; Soho is one of the most requested neighborhoods from our international customers! ;)

If you need any help for your apartment search give us a buzz :)

  • did he say How-ston st.? I only know it as Yew-ston.

  • @paulpaid Lol this is how New Yorkers say it! ;)

  • Excuse..I meant "would" not "wood".

  • Just visited Soho . Wasn't that impressed.

  • @geezloueeze realy, why? not been there.

  • @geezloueeze

Spoke too soon. Wood love to go back. Just not into tall, old brick buildings that filled with soot. Ah, the streets of New York. Just don't walk the area at misnight in the middle of July. The garbage smell is less than becoming. (The garbage trucks work all night collecting the garbage bags from the front of the buildings).

  • @geezloueeze Glad you changed your mind! :) Soho is a great New York neighborhood! Did you find any particular spot that you enjoyed and would like to share with us?

  • @geezloueeze why so? isnt it where rich ppl live?

  • @bostoncreme143 Yes, it is, but I think all of NYC business's put their garbage out for the trash peeps to pick up at night. That equals a not so pretty late night stroll, which, in the summer, can be quite, um, "fragrant". : )

  • He did not mention the restraunt Omen on thompson. It is Seals favorite restraunt

  • @Clemsonandcubsfan1 Thanks for the tips! Do you have any other travel tips about Soho?

  • whats on the bathroom door at bar 89??? (4:18)

  • Thank You! I love this tour of SoHo

  • @lazzile Thank you for your kind words! If you want to learn more about Soho you can check out our blog, we have interesting articles about this great New York neighborhood too!! :)

  • Excellent neighborhood!

  • @Audiomuse Thanks for your comment! Would you have any tips about activities or great spots in Soho to share with us? ;)

  • this place is so dirty and polluted. can't believe it grew to be an area of art scene! It literally grew to be a "cool place" from a rat dumpster. So glad i left there

  • @rzuhler In big cities, especially in New York, there is a constant change and transformation of neighborhoods. Changes are affecting buildings, architecture, trends, styles, zoning and many other things. Sometimes transformation is so powerful you cannot even recognize the previous state of the neighborhood. Soho has experienced a lot of changes over the last 30 years. Soho is now a very popular place to stay and or visit.

  • My favorite part of NYC !

  • @yaspeedyrn1975 Thank you for you comment :) Soho is a wonderful part of New York and one of most popular spots for vacation rentals. Since you enjoy Soho maybe you want to share some of your favorite things to do in that neighborhood.

  • very beautiful. cant wait until i move there! :) true artistic /acting scene! the vibe especially around spring st. is amazing, its like you fit right in with your own little world.

  • @AntoinetteAcosta Thank you for your comment :) Soho is a great New York neighborhood filled with plenty of restaurants, bars and cafés: a great place to live! If you decide to move here, we’ll be happy to assist you with your furnished apartment or apartment share search :)
