  • I remember watching this thing race in '92. This must be the most beautiful prototype ever made (in close competition with the Jags)

  • one of my favorite cars at Monterey historics, sounds like a modern F1 car heading down the straight

  • We need a roadcar of this and the 787b.

  • @KosaiAvonej I'm on it :)

  • @KosaiAvonej tell me about it, it would blow any supercar away and I'm sure it would be the quickest car around the track on Top Gear too :P

  • simply put, !! i want one!!!

  • esse carro ja fuma

  • straight up nasty

  • what a sound XD

    <3

  • this doesnt live up to the 787b's success...

  • I love the idle

  • gotta love super tuned 4 rotors.

  • I think the 787B still sounds a tad bit better. The *brap, brap, brap, brap* of the 787B sounded more ballsy. . . meaner, and the 792P sounded more muted.

  • omg did you hear it?

  • that is a beast

  • just awesome like the 787B

  • dirtay its not a 4 cylinder its a ROTARY. the r26b 4Rotor to be exact

  • Comment removed

  • rotary engine displacement is measured at the rotor flank, which is like the combustion chamber. How much displacement moves across the rotor flank for one revolution of the e shaft is a rotary engine's legitimate displacement. there are no tricks and loopholes to 'make it equivalent to' another displacement.

    if anything, a 13b is equivalent to a 1.3L 2-stroke, 4 cylinder engine.

  • a 4 cylinder 2 stroke fires 4x per revolution a 2 rotor fires 2x per revolution more closely resembeling the fireing order of a 4 stroke 4 cylinder with power impulses every 180 degrees.

  • 2 rotor fires 6 times per revolution there bud.

  • wrong-o there pal a eccentric shaft turns 3x per rotor revolution learn how a rotoary works before trying to correct me.

  • Actually not. It has just one combustion chamber per rotor.

  • technically yes, but it still detonates three times per revolution of that rotor.

  • hmm a rotor has 3 sides... and wait 3 combustion chambers kiddo.

  • the 4 rotor fires every 90 degrees of revolution... a v8 fires every 90 degrees of revolution a v12 is every 60 degrees of rotation so its kinda nothign like a v12

  • You do realise that each rotor fires every 33 1/3 degrees of revolution.

Just because there are 4 rotors doesn't mean you divide 360 by 4.

  • yeah an e shaft turns 3x per rotor revolution so a single rotor fires one time per revolution of the eccentric shaft NOOBS!

  • Soon to be available at you local mazda dealer, I wish. Take it out on the street

  • They do at Seven Stock each year.

  • ポルシェや、ベンツに一歩も引けをとらないマツダ。頑張れ。日本チャアチャチャ。何方か日本語で、車の解説、お願い出来ないですか。スゴイ迫力に圧倒されました!。

  • WOW Very nice !!

Still one of my favorite GTP cars. It nice to see this RX-792 P video, I still have the original cutout pieces from the extra front brake vents signed by Pete Halsmer ,from the 1992 race in New Orleans!!! VERY KOOOL!!

  • .. I think the 787b stills sounds better.. but wOw

  • see the white rx3? -_-

  • lovely ^^
