I agree with most points. But you did indicate that FPS shouldnt be focused on when it comes to esport. And dont forget that more people watches the ESWC matches in CS 1.6 and Source than watces MGL finals for Starcraft 2.

@JSunnijam ah see i think you slightly miss understand me there. FPS can be forcused on but I dont think the CS game type is the best to focus on. I understand that at the moment that more people watch CS and thats a good thing sure. But the POTENTIAL audience for a game like Starcraft and other easier to watch esports is much higher. the CS esports community is vast and established but I cannot imagine people that know nothing about the game watching it like I can with other games :) <3

While I do agree there, for your average person CoD or Fifa is something they can understand and such whereas a lot of the better games you mention for e-sports they may have a bad opinion simply because it's "geeky" or "cartoony" etc. In order for e-sports to be big It has to appeal to a larger audience.
