They were Palpatine's personal spies and assasins, and in this paticular scene, he was hiding in the background, waiting until Palapatine called upon him in the event that Anakin didn't show up in time and the shit really hit the fan. Lucas secretly had them put into certain scenes in all six movies. I cant believe you people dont know about this... Everybody else does, it is widely accepted fact.

Actually, the camera came in front of the computer which is located on the desk. It's not a person. It is not too amazing. A REAL blooper is when Carrie Fisher in Star Wars A New Hope had accidently forgot to wear a bra and it was the scene where they ran to the Millenium Falcon. That is a blooper. This is just a cinematic attempt to make something look cool.

The biggest Star Wars movie mistake is not giving fans an option of having the original trilogy in their original release. I read somewhere that for the Blu-Ray release that in Star Wars the Greedo scene has changed yet again. Yeah, I don't think that that is actually a mistake. At least not in the way that you think it is. I think that that was Anakin. This scene was rewritten and reedited. Originally Anakin was there before Mace & the others. He thought that the Jedi were going to kill Palpatine. He went to warn him. The scene where Anakin tells Mace about Palpatine first, was added in later. In fact Palpatine originally didn't have a lightsaber. He was using Anakin's which Anakin tossed to him before the fight.
