@armeleia Aren’t the thinner are used for cleaning stain or paint? Or we can mixed it with paint to give a lighter paint and can I have the name of the brand you are using
@itsmeTriangleFace I've used the Model Master stuff and I didn't like it. It seems to attract dirt, for one... but the bigger reason is that the solven in the Model Masters is really strong. When I would use that, the first coat would be fine... but then when I would coat after later layers of paint or pastel, it would actually partially dissolve the earlier layer of sealant! It made my colors shift or bleed.
Wow thank you so much for uploading these videos. I am starting to do OOAK Barbies, and just by watching these BJD painting videos has really given me a lot more insight on what i need to do. I had never known before that there is an actual difference between craft glue and artist glue. Or that i would need an acrylic medium to paint properly. No wonder why my lines were so globby, and why the paint was clumping up! Thanks again ^_^
Can I ask which kind of liquitex you use? soft body liquitex? liquitex ink?... Here in my country liquitex's names are a bit different from english one and hard to fine..
@KATHERlNE Winsor and newton is definitely artist grade. craft paint is the thin stuff you find in the craft aisle. winsor and newton also makes brushcleaner, which i affectionately refer to as "God" since it will strip any and all dried paint from your doll or brush without hurting the bristles or your doll's resin.
i LOVE the scar dollfie!!!! ok...question.... i got liquitex glazing medium to thin out my paint...is that good or should i go with a real thinner. also, i got a liquitex BASICS acrylic color...i have no clue if its artist grade or what but i was pretty sure i was ok..lemmie kno pleez cus i gonna try and face up a really special dollfie...thanx.
Hi again, Am curious about the thinner you would use with liquitex - do you use Mr Thinner? if so from where do you obtain it? Please tell me which are your five base colours. For chinal painting I used water based colors (powders) but there were different brand and type mediums and yes colours were blended. Thank you so much once again. I have emailed your videos to some friends who also do china painting. You are much appreciated. And, by the way, I do the same thing with my pinky.

@pikamilille I use Zoukeimura thinner, which is similar (I think) to the Liquitex Slow-Dri Liquid Retarder. Not positive, though. I use a medium cadmium yellow, raw umber, ultramarine blue, burgundy, and titanium white. Thanks for the comment. :)

what brand of paint do you use?

@DollsbyDaniel I prefer Liquitex. I've also heard that Golden is good, but I haven't tried it!

Do you use MSC Flat or MSC Flat Matt? :)
Is there even a difference? :D haha
great video I have probably upped your viewing by a good hundred just from coming back to find it so much! :D

@KATHERlNE I use flat. I'm not familiar with flat matte, actually. Where do you get it?

Great video. I can't wait to start faceups.
Just a quick question. What defines artist-grade acrylics to craft acrylics. Would Newton and Windsor be a more artist-grade choice?
