as a kid i enjoyed this storyline alot but when i look back at it i think its true that this is one poor storyline. the whole storyline was abit mixed up. cos when Shane first bought WCW, right away the fans were cheering for Shane and WCW stars. then they twist the story here and there to make the Alliance as a heel stable. But i gotta give it to vince for making this one of the most interesting period in wwf cos the rock was out making movies and hhh and benoit injured.

I recall watching this angle unfold in 2001, and remember being disappointed by the fact that none of the WCW heavyweights, aside from Booker T and Diamond Dallas Page, were involved. But after watching Stone Cold's promos and the pay per views of the Invasion Angle, this was probably the best possible series of matches that could have been put on. True, the sports entertainment aspect was missing, but the wrestling was a lot better than it could have been, easily.
