I have wonderful memories of this song. My aunty bought this when i was a wee young girl.of 11, 12 maybe.. I remember it made such an impression on me i never ever forgot it... Im chuffed to bits to be able to hear it again after all these years..... Its like seeing a much loved friend..xxxxxxxxxx

I love Green Gartside!!! I met him a couple of years ago and the gig was just incredible! He's absolutely lovely and he sang "Sweetest Girl" for me. I was in heaven. If my 17 year old self could've seen that she'd have probably collapsed! "White Bread Black Beer" is fantastic and I keep playing this vid at the mo because it's one of my fave Scritti songs. It's cheering me up.

Indeed, Green is still going strong under the Scritti moniker. I have seen him and the band a few times in the last 2 or 3 years and mighty fine they are too. Expect some new stuff soon. He has been collaborating with Alexis Taylor from Hot Chip so that could be fun :o)
