I don't want to imagine the Taliban regaining power in the region because though the current government is imperfect and problematic, at least they don't just go around executing various innocent civilians in a football(soccer) stadium for breaking theological rules. The Taliban are nowhere near to other rebel groups like lets say the Maoist in Nepal where they wish to grant greater freedom against an oppressive regime which they ended up doing.
