@savegex46 1. Your grammar sucks. 2. People that drive on REAL tracks with REAL cars wear gloves inluding EVERY single professional in professional racing today so shut your mouth. Btw, this isn't driving! It's Racing numbnuts!
F1, NASCAR, Nurburgring, Le Mans, Karts, Rally, Sprint cars, etc. etc. All wear gloves.
@ondrascz yep your right my bad, i thourght only the typr r had the gear stick on the dash, but i noticed after i posted the emblem on the wheel isn't red :$
I have a Lancer EVO 6 and installed a roll cage with sparco bucket seats a KN Intake with Nitto Tires and OZ wheels and I was one of the SLOWEST people on the track because my Car is Underpowered against a Lan EVO X and a nissan Skyline R34. :(
@kiptheparonite Again, another ignorant comment. Not surprising. Lets see some track videos with lap times and I may retract my comment. Anyone can spit out numbers and parts lists. Fact is you don't ever see Mustangs on circuits or autocross and there's a reason for that. A properly setup Miata with a decent driver will piss on your car with less than half the horsepower. Face the facts.
@MyOpinionMatterss Yes very true, I owned a Mazda RX7 (FC), honda Integra TypeR R and a Miata (NB) and the Miata was one of the best on the tracks I ever have and still is. Competing in the SCCA regularly :}
lol all the gear and not much idea but god you luck like something that family guy would take the mick of im not hatin im just sayin a bit of a bmw driver look but in a honda
its your own style folks, some shift then blip, or blip and then shift, but I do both at the same time. Mate, you in a CRV?? the gearstick is on the dash virtually, is it only CRV's that do that or is it others too?
@mrimconfused no if you leave the blip at the end the car will jerk trust me. I know the ins and outs of heel and toe and rev matching. brake, clutch, blip, downshift, clutch out, off brake then throttle. I usually use the double clutch method to challenge myself and improve my footwork finesse
ok to whoever needs to know how to do hell-toe downshifting, first thing you have to do is get on the brakes, steady. then after that either clutch in+ throttle then shift, OR clutch then throttle+ shift, it all depends on what kind of car, FWD/RWD, driving habit, etc. i have a corolla and a miata, i cant do heel-toe the same way between those two cars. its jut different. the corolla wants clutch-shift---blip-clutch out, while the miata wants clutch--throttle(not just blip)-shift-clutch out.
@trd88noz would that be because the miata has a syncro-rev limiter and wont let you downshift till you raise the RPM to match the speed of you Gearbox.
@monomariodog my miata is 94, so i dont think it has syncro-rev limiter or whatever it is. its just the way the gearing and syncros were built. different cut angles and materials will result in different shifting characteristics.
woah that shifter is cool a shit!

any tips on the heel toe? I think i have it down but its not second nature. If i do it correctly, should i be able to drop the clutch back?

@kiptheparonite Figures, another tough guy in a Mustang. Too bad Mustangs can't go around turns. You would get raped on a track by a Miata my friend.
MyOpinionMatterss 1 year ago
@kiptheparonite Very ignorant comment. The pedals on a Miata are set up great for heel toe downshifts. The Miata is an ideal track car in every way.

you tap to late tap as you go through neutrel. driving a car with out a syncro in any gear will teach you perfect downshifts.

Hi there mates, only remember one thing: when You blip the throttle, the clutch has to be lifted up, otherwise it's useless

tap the gas to get the motor revved back up for the next lower gear.

So when you shift down, you are on the brake pedal, you put the clutch in and select a different gear, and after that blip the throttle?
carsismeZ06 2 years ago
1. press brake and clutch at the same time.
2. Shift into lower gear.
3. while braking, blip throttle to rev match.
4. get off of the clutch.
i think thats the way you do it... you can always watch other youtube videos that people teach how to do it.
streeturbo21 2 years ago
1, brake
2, clutch, and blip at the same time (ctluch in SLIGHTLY before blip),
3, select gear,
4, release clutch
tristantao 2 years ago
no. u brake. then clutch and blip at the same time, (clutch slightly before blipping, and this is done before shifting), then shift. then clutch out.
u need to clutch + blip before shifting.
tristantao 2 years ago
Ok...
