9/11 was an inside job. That being said, the World Trade Center towers, like the Empire State Building, represent New York and what we stand for (I don't know what that is, commercialism?) It's not unusual to think that in a comic or other show that they may have the evil character/group attacking this. A superhero who swings and climbs tall building in NYC happens to be involved with WTC before the 93' and 01' attacks. Tall well known buildings are used in these stories as well as multiple films because they are staples of modern society. The 2002 Spider Man movie even had to remove scenes involving the WTC just before it's release. No conspiracies, just a staple of NYC that became a target.

I love how people ridicule hints left behind in movies, cartoons, comics etc. when really the jokes on them. I doubt all these depictions of the twin towers being destoyed are just coincidences, and when they say in films prior to 9/11 they're going to stage a terror attack and blame it on the muslims for various reasons is just a coincidence. Especially when you look at who owns the entertainment industry and understand it's purpose, it's no coincidence. 9/11 was planned decades b4 it happened.

Y'know what's funny? If some terrorist organization ever destroys Mt. Rushmore, people are going to look at all the present day cartoons where it gets destroyed or vandalized and say that the cartoons "predicted" it. Really, its pretty common in fiction to damage well known landmarks. The sphinx, the Eiffel Tower, the Hoover Dam, they've all been blown up in one show or another. The only reason the Towers are different is because it ended up actually happening.

I remember reading this comic in 91,,, also take a look at the inside cover of the Beastie Boys album "Ill Communication". theres a very eerie picture inside with smoke fire and planes and the WTC....it was made in 1994, they are from NYC.. strange..

Shredder from the animated TMNT wanted to set up bombs underneath the WTC complex and destroy the buildings but of course the turtles prevenetd his evil plan. I think that episode aired before the 93 bombing! Does that mean conspiracy also? The WTC was one of the most famous buildings in the world at the time so of course it would be the subject of evil plot in fiction.

It's not coicidence...at least I don't think so. I think Stan Lee made a deal with the Illuminati (Freemasons - the supposed conspirators) , not only are there a few hints in some comics from long ago, but also, he changed the way Spiderman shot his web...it used to be where he would extend his arm out and disperse his fingers all together and spray a web, BUT NOW he makes the devil horns or "love" hand sign as some of you know it to be.

okay how about this? wednesday is the release date for new comics.
the day after 9/11, I went to the store to buy some comics and there was a brand new superman comic (one of the various titles). this was the aftermath of some world wide war with brainiac. The first page he is hovering
and the next page he is looking at the damaged twin towers while they are being worked upon. I don't remember the title or issue., but I remember that image.

@BIGREDSFOOTBALL79 Hey man! Don't be ashamed to own comics! I started collecting Ultimate Spider-Man, I've read Watchman (one of the greatest graphic novels ever), and a little Star Wars. Comics are definitely nothing to be ashamed of. A lot of the stories in comics are written better than some novels. When I read Watchman, I realized halfway through it that I barely looked at any of the art in the panels. Thats how great the writing is! Read more comics, man! Good for the soul! Take care!

Escape from New York had a destroy trade center...it was a land mark and the best way to show the impact of something was always to destroy a landmark.
