gr8! went to the homegoin celebration of a founder of a note-singin group here in atl ga. i luv the art - pray it never dies! they rarely do harmony like that nowadays.
bless u i grew up in fayette al born and raised in the mcconnell chapel community baptized in the baptist(peaceful rest b c) church next door to mcconnell chapel methodist church
I ask someone, Please, to tell me, what the name of the book and the title of the song that they are singing here. I really love to hear this song, and would love to have the song for my group. Thanks.
The title is "There is Glory with the Lord" by Adger M. Pace and Rosa Nell Powell first published in 1937. They sung from Ben Speer Music's Convention Book for 1996, MATCHLESS GRACE p.14 compiled by Harold Lane
This is to ALL singers of song at McConnell Chapel. I LOVE to sing the notes too. My father taught the DO to DO eight note singing, as I do now. Got a singing school going on now in Southwest Va. I would love to know the name of this song you sing here, and I believe its "Jesus Made Me Glad" but unsure. Please email me if you will, and let me know the book and the name of the song. yaesuham2 at yahoo

Good work! Not a lot of congregations out there that can sing the shapes!

This was an AL-MS shape-note singing convention not a regular church service congregation.
