  • There's just one way that you can stand, too many ways to fall . . .

    . . . It's just a job, that's all.

  • I'd recognize that bassist any day

  • @MrTHEcrock lol

  • @MrTHEcrock Tommy Shannon?

  • I know his son hahahja

  • I WAS AT THAT TAPING OF ACL!!! Never got to see it though. Is there more footage from it?

  • Saw the original ARC angels tour in Seattle. Great show, great album, miss it. Was floored seeing Doyle work with Roger Waters, never would have guessed that. Doyle did a great job playing David Gilmour style. I'd be excited to find out that Sexton and Bramhall were collaborating again on new material. I sense some boredom with their revisiting their old material.

  • doyle is simply stunning

  • We seem to be mostly talking about Doyle...what about Charlie?

  • @kenneymusic I haven't listened to him much, but his singing is great on this one... amazing!

  • @PapaDudeness His singing is great, period.

  • @kenneymusic Playing and singing -- brilliant!

  • Oh Yeah, That's what I'm talkin about.

ArcAngels. Wishin they would get together again and come on out to the West Coast to tour.

Doyle can make that Strat howl!

    Double Trouble always delivers.

    Charlie is amazing talent.

Thanks for putting this one up.

  • @Rockinbluesron they are back togather according to guitar edge magazine!

  • this guy has more talent in his pinky than lady gaga or justin bieber have in their whole body...and he's not famous? pathetic....

  • @Sueds90 His pinky has so much talent that out of respect, he refuses to use it.

  • PLEASE come to AUSTRALIA!!! As a headlining solo act, NOT as a support! Doyle, you're way better than that!

  • Holy hell, what a great band they were!!! Anyone who disagrees may you please kindly leave the planet, we need the space for Doyle, Tommy, Charlie, and Chris to store their talent. Please put out some more music!!!!!

  • Why would a major label want em? They don't do a mish-mosh of Sweet Home Alabama & Werewolves of London. They don't shout in rhythmic monotone, grab their crotches and brag about how great they are while constantly telling everybody what their name is. Major labels know talent when they see it.

  • I can't believe that labels rejected this guy over and over. Shows how useless these major labels are these days. Good thing Clapton came along. This guy is as authentic as they come!

  • @MrROTD

Proof that labels don't know a guitar from a gong.

  • Doyle just stand on its own, rhythm, great vibe and outstandig sound..... a master for me.

  • A great feel and nothing is outfit I could say. It rolls

  • I would agree. Doyle is a classy player and doesn't overdo it. His tone is stellar too. Under rated!!!

  • This is arc angels, I saw them twice at Lafayette La, forget when, but they were freaking awesome both times, tommy shannon on bass guitar, and chris layton on drums/double trouble band, and I do like doyle jr, as well as doyle sr/srv ^5 all ya'll rock...Wynn

  • Arc Angels at Wanee '09!

  • please please please post the rest of this gig

  • I have a man crush on Doyle Bramhall II!!!

  • So your a pole smoker eh?

  • Excellent performance from individually great musicians.

  • Clint....go have fun with yourself in a room with no mirrors. Nobody gives a big ugly hairy rat's ass. Will you enjoy dying of a sexually transmitted disease in the prime of your life? Move on and become somebody you respect, k?

  • Doyle is fuckin SICK ......wow

  • I love watching these two!

    AWESOME!!

  • Does anybody else smell skunk?

  • Wow! Didn't know Charlie could sing like that.

  • This is actually a poor vocal performance of his IMO... w/e he's a good singer regardless

  • He also forgot the first line of the song. I don't care...Charlie sings like no other!

  • A very rare song in that it actually ENDS with a guitar solo.

Just ripped a solo and left it like a deformed baby on the steps of a firehouse.

  • One thing's for sure, not many people can say"I play like Doyle". Upside down and backwards!!!!!!

  • More than amazing...

    P O W E R F U L!

    ♥♪♫

  • You can buy it on DVD, it's official DVD material from Austin City Limits. It's called "Double Truble and friends" or something like that. This is material from Duoble Troble CD "Been a long time" feat: Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Doyle Bramhall, Charlie sexton, Susan Tedeski and more...

  • ARC ANGELS

  • they really need an arc angels dvd too bad they couldnt stick together.

  • I know they were awesome...thank goodness for the occasional shows but it is all about geography and whether you are fortunate to be at the right place at the right time!:)

  • wow this shitty spam is really getting rampant... Shouldn't youtube start doing something against these annoying pieces of crap?!

  • you are obviously a Michael Jackson loving queer.....ARC Angels rock!! go suck a "SunnyCool popsicle.

  • hi asshole, I wrote that comment a year ago when the admins weren't able to delete URL spams and chain letter comments ...

Stop talking about queers and sucking popsicle it shows what's going on in your head.

  • 2:46 WOW that single note is just so great !! really wakes you up and listen more to the song

  • this is a great vid, i got a copy at home, johnny lang, jimmie vaughan, susan tedeshki etc...

  • where did you get a copy? is it for sale?

  • it was a bootleg copy that a mate gave me, from a PBS live TV broadcast i think

  • you can catch em doin Livin in a Dream on Lertterman great show ck it out

  • shit these guys are good... they really go well together - The Arc Angels are touring around in a couple of smaller venues across the states these days, aparently more something like casual gigs.

  • They're playing two nights in Austin, a night in Fort Worth, and a night in Houston next month.

  • The Houston show was great!! Loved it. The only thing was, they DIDN'T play this song, which is my favorite. I hope they keep doing this "reunion" tours, so I\we can see them again.

  • thanks dudes, I was able to catch Doyle II when he was Touring with Clapton back then -- love to go watch him play with the Smokestack...

  • Bramhall's interview on 'Before The Music Dies' is really something. What a respectable musician.

  • Great video and even better song. I saw these guys in Omaha - at a venue attached to a bowling alley of all places - must have been 1994 or 1995. Awesome band...lived up to everything you've ever heard or read. Love to see them hit the road again.

  • Yeah, this is cool. The closest I've ever got to seeing this song live was by a bar band at a bowling ally in waterloo Iowa. They werent bad.

  • Wow! What an amazing video. I never heard of them before but they just got a new fan:-)

  • Thank you for posting this Amazing Video!!!! Why did the Arc Angels never make it big? The album was amazing!!!!

  • They never got the chance to really blossom. Doyle and Charlie didn't get along and that really tore the band apart. They were amazing!

  • I believe it was more due to DBII rampant drug abuse. They get along fine nowadays that DBII is clean.

  • Yeah, that can't be good for a group. I wish they'd get back together.

  • I know they were great live act and I really miss them. Tommy Shannon and Chris Layton got together with singer, Malford Milligan and formed band Storeyville. I saw them a lot in Austin/Houston. . .unfortunately due to lack of commercial success and who knows what all the behind scenes stuff was, they weren't around long but they were still a phenomenal live act. Thanks for this post dbfan!

  • I agree. If anyone has "Turn Toward the Mirror" that would be great. They should have a reunion tour!

  • Please someone post Doyle Bramhall II & Charlie Sexton performing their otherworldly duet, "Turn Toward The Mirror" from this same 2001 Austin City Limits broadcast! It reunites the 2 along with Double Trouble to showcase the 2, (Doyle Bramhall II & Charlie Sexton) amazing singer/songwriter/musicians at their most incredible talents & chemistry!

  • What venue is this arc angels concert from? i want to pursue it to see if we can have them release this on DVD.

Bam Bam - Jody Watley Tour '89

  • Bam Bam, this performace is from Austin City Limits. I too have been checking the ACL website for a DVD release with no luck. Good Luck.

  • Seems like Charlie was really straining to hit those

higher notes. They still rock it.

  • I saw 'em back in the day. KICK ASS!!

I felt so much anger when they put away....Stevie Ray!

  • your the MAN dbfan...Doyle is a living legend!!!!

  • Doyle is incredible

  • One of my all time favorite songs. The solo by DBII on the studio version gives me goosebumps everytime I hear it.

  • Thank you so much

  • This is Arc Angels by the way..

  • Dude! Dude! Dude! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
