@Silky1232 The sweetness of the truffles will depend on the sweetness of chocolate you choose. If you don't want sweetness, use bittersweet chocolate.
Wait... you own The Chopping Block, as in the one in Chicago?? If so... I really want to go there one day! I heard they had kid classes (as I am one, 12 years old) and wanted to do a class there SO badly!! This is so cool :)

@sambalhijo It's certainly possible to melt chocolate in the microwave. You just need to be diligent in making sure that it does not overheat. Every microwave is different, so try heating the chocolate for 30 to 60 seconds at a time, stirring and repeating this process as necessary.
If I don't add the liqueur do I need extra chocolate or less cream?

Is there any reason not to melt the chocolate with the cream in the microwave (as long as I don't let it boil?)
